Hey, I got 5g's to spend on my engine. It's a vl calais s2, n/a engine i was planing on the turbo conversion, yeah i know i'm another one.. but the car is in very good condition, anywho.. I want to keep my rb30. i have a t04 turbo, intercooler and vlt injecters so far. What should i buy and would i be able to afford a rebuild ect, i was looking for actual brands of pistons and internals keeping in my budget , my goal is 260rwkw's.. the car is also my daily driver so it will need to be relyable. any help would be great. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Pm flwlss, he has and rb30 just been rebuilt, reco and tuff head for i think 3.5k ish. So theres a start, it will come with almost all you need. buy a good built tuff jatco on here for under 1500. sell the other stuff you dont need after the conversion, and you'll have some change for other stuff.

ok- perhaps "bingo" would have been more appropriate I just reckon a 1999 engine that produces over 50 fwkw more in standard form and responds better to mods will be better in the long term than than a 1986 na engine with turbo bolt-ons. I would like to be romantic and stay loyal to the 30 (in fact I have) but lets face reality. I know what I would do. bingo

i'm not after a 10sec streeter, lol would be nice just something in the 12's clean smooth and reliable will make me more then happy, but yeah i'm going around to check out some quotes on a rebuild and parts and look at my options, i'v thought heaps about the rb25 idea and i know everything invloved but i love the rb30 just for the simplicity of the engine and power, all the extra's diff brakes and gearbox are extra 5g's was set aside for the engine i plan to spend 25g.. anyways I'll hunt around, thanks for the ideas.
