1. First unscrew the satellite switches (Wipers, Demister), Screw is underneath. 2. Take out the glovebox. To do this, removed the plastic pin on the right hand side of the glove compartment. 3. take off the black covers underneath the dash on the passenger and driver side. 4. unscrew the screws in the glove box compartment. 5. Take out the side caps from the dash (Calais models have cruise control panel) and remove the screws. Lift off the top section of the dash above the gauges. 6. Using a Philips head screwdriver, poke it up through the air vents on the side and unscrew the two screws. Remove the air vents. 7. Unscrew the bolts on top of the gauges and remove the wires and speedo cable. 8. unscrew the four screw from the centre part of the dash (Under Cigarette Tray) (2 vertical screws, 2 Horizontal screws). 9. Unscrew and remove the cover plates around the steering wheel and key. 10. Remove any screws, bolts associated with the dash from under the steering wheel. 11. Pull out the centre air vents. 12. Unscrew the screw above the head unit and the screw above the heater control knobs. Remove the centre section of the dash. 13. Unscrew any other screws and bolts that are associated with the dashboard and remove the dash.

i just pulled the dash out of my calais to put a new covered one in and it was a head ache.. one piece of advice i can give is dont go ripping at things cos if you do that there must be somethin holdin it and it will break.. haha i learnt that the hard way! i agree with matty.. it sure aint as easy as sayin theres a couple of screws to pull out.

first time till u get used to doing it, take it slowly, some of the plastic around the stereo section brakes easy, alot of mine had been broken and aluminium brackets pop riverted to it... once done a few times it is pretty simple, and can be done quite quickly

ive tried to take the centre bit out b4 to get the old broken casette player out and just l8ly (maybe due to my fiddling) the thin part that goes around the centre of the dash decided to break off on one end, did anyone else have this problem? does anyone have any ideas to glue it back on on the top on the left hand side?

Come on guys. It's basic. Out and back in again in 2 hours for the whole dash! VB- VK are the worst. I hate doing them!
