allrite guys hows use doin, i finally went up to welshpool today to get my permits. i tell u wot, its alot of f@#king around. first i get up there after driving all the way from mandurah and one of the guys asks me if my blow off valve makes noise and if it does he wont be given me a permit, then he sends me to the technical section to talk to someone else and he sends me back where i started. it seems like none of them no wot the f@ck is goin on up there. finally one of them says he'l have a drive and see how loud my blow off valve is, so i jump in the pasenger side to go with. now be prepared guys because they give ya car a good floggin, i didnt know wot to say so i kept my mouth shut cause if i complaind he'd probly tell u to get fkd and wont give ya permit. and he just scored a free spin in ur ride. anyway we get back and he has a bit of a winge bout some stuff and gives ya **** bout ya car and ya mods n stuff. but again i just kept my mouth shut. eventually after all the crap he wrote me up a permit for my front mount and piping, strut brace and blow off valve. then u gota go line up for bout 30mins to pay for it. its cost me $28.50. which is f#ck all really. but there ya go fellas least ya can get um, u just got push for it and tell um some bullsh#t story that ur blow off valve aint loud so they'l take it for a spin. anyway see how ya go

you've only had a small taste... no one knows what the **** to do when they get me. they all just try and palm it off to someone else who tells me to fill out some form and give it to someone else. thats why ive ended up just going and getting engineers approval and going straight to the pits at welshpool where the tech section is. they will have to make some decisions then.

jetwpn what bov have you got and what boost are you running? i got a turbosmart type 2 and i duno if id get a permit for it?? im gona take my car to the pitts sometime next week?

yea im runnin a turbosmart type 2, with bout 15psi. its pretty loud when u hit high boost but they wont care. when u get there they'l probly tell ya ur not aloud them if they make any noise. just tell them uv spoke to the technical department and they said that u can a permit for it. and they'l take ya car for a spin. just hope u get a some good. wind ya boost down aswell if possible so it aint as loud. i went up runnin 13 pound cause i cant turn it down, but i still go through with that.

So what happens if I go there, and they won't give me a permit. Can they then give me a yellow??

illusiv: ive never heard of it happening. one guy asked them and was told its not their job to give out stickers. usually when you go there they will just tell you what they can and cant give you a permit for.

you can get a permit for anythin really, its just if they wanna be wank@rs about it they wont give ya one. i spose it also depends on who u get on the day and wot sort of mood there in. they cant hand out stickers either, only cops can do that. for $28.50 its worth goin and doin it. saves alot of hassle when ya get pulled over and the cop says pop ya bonnet. just show um ya permit and tell um to get Fkd, just not in those words

**** i just wrote heaps and it didnt post so i have to write it again, ok. vp wagon that isnt always the case if your fairly modest about the whole situation they will usually let you off if you have permits, its like you have just met them half way, also when i went to the pitts they never said anything about my bov so i aint gona do anything about it i might get a permit later, plus a cop looked at my motor and asked if i had a bov, and i told him no and he believed me hahaahaha, big ass blue thing hanging off the cooler pipes!

try livin in mandurah, there fking everywhere. all i see is yellow stickers on ever poor fellas car. never chics hehe. its like the cops get to work and there boss gives um 50 stickers and says "go hand um out"

hehe when the cops took my car for a test thrash the guy drove it really damn slowly and carefully, I was really suprised. And he only drove it for about 3-5 mins as well.

i took [4 R33L] (R33 GTS-t 4 DR) over the pits a few days ago to get its yellow off and he gave me permits bulk permits! Got permit for the hiflowed T04 turbo, intercooler, exhaust, gearknob, gauges, strut brace, BOV, pod filter and lowered springs. it was covered across 2 permits so cost $56.80. The BOV was factory and he complained it was too loud and said cops on the street would still have a go at you for it. If factory parts arent good enough then what is???

It may be factory, but all the other mods aren't and I guess with more boost the BOV will be louder than stock.... Good that you got all those things on the permit so easily...
