hey peeps. I want to bleed my brakes (standard vl turbo brakes) and ive never done it! Shocking i know. I'll have a look in the gregorys manual and see how to do it, bt i wanted to know if anyone has any tips they have come across or any little tricks to make it easier.. Better yet, how do YOU bleed your brakes. thanks in advance.

dont push the pedal all the way to the floor, just go half way, it will take longer to bleed them but you dont risk tearing the seals in the master cylinder

bleed the passenger's side rear first (the farthest from the master cylinder), then the driver's side rear, then passenger's front and last the driver's front.

When bleeding brakes you should always bleed the furtherest away from the master. which is the back left hand side, then right back hand side then front left hand side then right front hand side. also dont push the brake all the way to the floor only go half way. its best to do with with 2 people one opening up the bleeder and the other one on the brakes. good luck with bleeding the brakes.

yeah while one person presses the brake pedal u undo the bleeder screw.... leta bit out, but make sure u retighten it before u let the pressure off the brake pedal. also make sure u keep an eye on the fluid in the resivoir (sp) you dont want it to become empty at any stage, or u'll have to start again. A brake guru once told me to gravity bleed the brakes and it works tops he reckons. Thats where you open all the nipples up and let them sit for an hour or so, and keep topping up the fluid. Never tried it as I'm too impatient.

i think manually bleeding them is the best way, cause u can flush all the old ****ty fluid and contaminants out aswell.
