Just recently bought a VL Calais and am wondering what diff would be in it. The motor is N/A 3L with the 4 speed auto. On the plates it say the axle is GM3. Anyone know wether or not the diff is LSD?

its a 25 spline 2 pinion diff with 3:45 gears. Only way to know is jack up both back wheels and spin the right hand side one and if the left hand side wheel spins the same way as the right hand side one its LSD if not then its a single spinner.

There should be a tag on the diff housing with an 8 digit code and a sticker on the axle tube with a Two letter code. From these you can find out exactly what diff it is. Corsa

You can also check if it is a LSD by checking the complience built plate on the firewall in the engine bay!...

Not sure what the code is but if you see GN8 it's LSD from factory might be wrong!...

All 3.45:1 Diffs had GM3 listed on the compliance plate. G80 (LSD) was a production option and the official way to tell the difference was that the LSD was fitted with a brown/red coloured filler plug. If you want to knwo then get the numbers off the tag on the diff housing or code off the sticker on the axle tube. Corsa
