Hey guys, i just want to let off some steam and tell yall that i just wiped off my pride and joy travelling into the middle of Geelong on monday afternoon in the wet.
Do u guys think i should just get rid of it or is it worth fixing??
NOTE: It has also pushed the radiator in slightly would this mean new radiator support panel and weld another front on to get it how it was??
It doesnt seem to hav damaged the roof or chassis rails in anyway or steering arms for that matter.
ANY advice/suggestions appreciated.
regards,
Scott

it looks farily fixable from that photo.. get some quotes.
it all comes down to.. how much do you love your car?.. are u prepared to spend the money on it?.. i cant imagine itd cost too much.. although.. at the same time you'll be payin off the other two cars!...
Dude Thats soooooo fixable have a go at it yourself!!!! Give me ure email and ill send you pics of my smash (got hit by a ford transporter doing 80kmh i was going 0!). if you do it yourself and use after market parts (Tiwanese) should cost no more than 400 - 500 provided the radiator is ok. Even if you get some good 2nd hand parts it will be cheaper. It doesnt look as though the dizzy was hit?! can u send me a pic of the bonnet up and the internal damage? I also have some good contacts of people who can do the painting. Be good to hear from U 2 c what u do

Harripidg: thanks for that ill ask my mate if i can borrow his camera again and take some under the bay, but like i said i think i might hav to weld another front on for the radiator support.

Yeh sorry to say man but from the pics you added it looks as if your better off letting this one go. Get another daily driver though it looks as if you already do and save some $$$$$$$$$$ for an upgrade. (words of wisdom TRUST ME!!!!)
Did you hit both sides of the car or is the whole front bent? if shes bent its a goner. If not you can fix it but you will have to know what you doing and it will take months.
In my personal opinion try to sell it as a wreck if thats no go - get rid of it, the quicker the better. My written off vl sat in the driveway for almost a year as it slowly became stripped down and it wasnt worth it!
Let it go dude its hard at first I know but you will eventually move on to something alot better.
GOOD LUCK!
Glenn

yep both front guards hav been hit although i cant work out how i managed that lol, but one of my mates brothers who fixes cars had a good look at it and he goes its defiantely fixable, as the rails, strut tower and k-frame arnt bent. But the radiator support panel has been pushed in enough to make it not worth straightening so another one will hav to be cut and welded in.
**** IT oh well if i had the money i would fix it as i can get the whole car fixed to how it was for bout $500 not including panels. but cos ive got other stuff to pay for it aint really worth it as much as i loved the car(owned it for bout 3 years) didnt put one scratch on it lol.
so yeah ur right mate time to let it go.

my car accident looked like that back when it was an N/A its definatly fixable and i had to put a new radiator support in, i got the whole car painted at the same time,
strip the car yourself take all the unwanted parts off give it to a panel beater and then put it back together yourself, save your self a grand if not 2g's in labour
might be the perfect chance to get the whole car painted if it hasn't already been done cost me $2500 to repair something like that and paint the whole car
cheers
