Look i got the pipe coming out of the RB25 head on my rb30 now i have no idea wat it is 4 and it has been crimped close now i notice this and im thinking why has it been done i have read the rb25 to rb30 instructions and still dunno wat it is for can some1 help me i have a pic but i dunno how 2 put it up its locat on the Exhaust side just behind the cam gears cove.
As if. Watch me. you would only use it if you wanted to connect the upper engine pressure to something else. It just connects to the oil chamber in the head.
Ok now i am talking about on the side of the head and not the tappet cover pipes out the top.
if this pipe is oil pressure can i hook a oil pressure gauge up to it???
It's just another oil drain back to the sump.
It can be blocked up if your lazy...luke...but easy just to tee it into the turbo oil drain. It'll help prevent oil pumping out the breathers if pushed hard!

Why? If you're going to push the motor hard, you should have a decent sized (at least 20mm) tube from the cylinder head to the sump anyway to equalise the pressures. Otherwise the low-pressure oil up top doesn't want to go back down. All decent wet-sump race motors have it. Tee-ing into the turbo drain is a touch dodgy in comparison....
Interesting.
A lot of the Skyline blokes either block off the front oil restrictor in the block and or reduce the oil restrictor size. This helps with oil flooding the top end.
This is definately a must if you use the RB26DETT head as it doesn't require as much oil (solid followers)

Who said anything about race motors? Teeing in is better than blocking it off, easy and all most ppl will require. The standard breather system is never good for racing!
