Hey everyone, I am in the middle of fitting a new handbrake cable and I have run into trouble. I need to know where the return spring is anchored to. This spring attaches to the actuating arm of the brake assembly via a small hole at the top of the lever, right where the cable attaches. However I am unsure where the other end of the spring hooks on??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! Sorry for such a stupid question but I'm really buggered as to where it goes. BTW: Wagon disc brake rear end..................... Cheers. Steve.

It's raining outside, but from memory there's a bracket with a small hole in it somewhere on the top half of the backing plate. The spring pretty much goes back in a straight line from where it hooks on to the actuating arm.

yep, it hooks into the arm, then goes "backward" to a hole in the backing plate..... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
