If ive ever been paranoid of my car being broken into, The time is now.

lol. They already knew it. Yea Early commodores and falcons are easy as to break into.
That would have been so embarrassing locking your keys in ur car at auto barn. Especialy if there were a heap of ppl in the car park.

true, a lot of people know already how to do that, breaking into a commo isnt rocket science. thing is you dont even need to do that, you just need any early commo key. have your locks removed totally and have remote locks installed, or maybe try solex's.

Would you raher them smash your window or drill out your locks? Personally id prefer the method above wont have to get anything fixed!
Where theres a will theres a way. If they wanna get in they will! Even if you do have super dooper alarm. they dont know it has one till the door is opend (after they smash your window or drill the locks)

18-03-04, 11:58 GMT+10#10 you'd have to be CRAZY to own an decent VL and not at least have an immobiliser fitted, or better, a complete ultrasonic detection system, and even anti-tow!!!!
you were lucky!!!

19-03-04, 00:40 GMT+10#19 so when the tilt sensor system comes on, does it take its tilt reading from where the car is (stopped) so that even if you are stopped on a hill it still works?
as far as I knew mercury switches have off (level with horizontal) and on (anywhere else)...?

19-03-04, 15:17 GMT+10#20 mercury is a liquid metal (like the terminator in t2) its in a glass enclosure when the switch is tilted the liquid moves across the two terminals. so when the car is on a hill the terminals will become a circut, so alarm wont work!
