JET-88C saw two passes of 11.1 and 10.7 @ 126mph, very well done!
OOH-3OT ran a 11.7
Black VLCT TOLDJA in the 13s
Silver Commo with Calais front in the 14s
Four overall, very good night.
First time there too, love the seating of the new compared to the itchy grass of the old. Also timeboards were top notch and car delays were swiftly attended to.

JET-88C ran a 3rd run later in the night (9:50pm) of 10.58@126.5mph! I've got some mad vids of it if anyone can host them for me. Last run launched hard for a 1.5 60ft and lifted the front wheel of the ground!
The reason for the 11.0 first up was he took off in second gear (being nervous and all), thats why it dogged down but picked up big time mid track. Still pulled a 1.7 something 60fter though!
I was the lunatic jumping around with the video camera next to him on the line (I had pit lane access) I'll fix up the vids in the morning . Running these numbers on the first meet out is awesome and Pete is over the moon. Run was done on PULP and will return in the winter with alot more HP(!) and will run faster times.
Does anyone know what the black VL BOSSVL ran? I think I heard a 10.6? I told everyone there would be some VLT action at Eastern Creek!

yes i was there it was good to see a few vlt out
was impressed with jet-88c and his performance
BOSSVL did run a 10.6 @ 127mph?..the car launched well and by the scream it let out id say there would of been a bit of boost screwed in her.
jet-88c..does that run a rb25 head?
anyone get a glimpse of the xy gt lose it top end,he swayed side to side before he lost control doing a 180 deg turn and missing the wall, nice bit of driving i must add and im sure an underwear change wasnt too far away.
who did the work on jet-88c?

congrat to both jet88c and ooh30t. great to some some vlt action out there again.
ooh30t seem to be having converter prob's (maybe flaring) up top as the mph was was not improving. car launched well but didn't seem to continue to pull hard thru the last 100m. have to say it is one of the best presented vl's i have seen, the paint was just spot on.
hoping to be out there in a month or so.

04-03-04, 09:05 GMT+10#11 Yeh it was an awsome night, congrats to JET88C and BOSSVL on running some big numbers! both cars sounded absolutly awsome, and JET88C getting one wheel up was a sight.
i did have a little problem in the top end but we'll have that sorted pretty soon, last pass was a 12.4 at the same mph as the previous 11.7 pass! had to back off 3/4 track cause of some smoke that got me worried but it ended up being nothing major, probably would of went quicker that pass but still had a top night and enjoyed myself!
vl.turbo<-- thanks for your comments man, much appreciated! hope to see you out there soon!

04-03-04, 14:35 GMT+10#15 agreed with vl.turbo. OOH30T is as straight as an arrow and is very well presented, not too mention being an 11 sec car.
I have got some videos on my PC which I captured from my 10 year old video camera, which conveniently died half way through the night (big 50 meg files though) but I did have my digi camera on hand and took a vid of JET88C last pass. Not the best but at least it is something!
Right clicky and save as here! I get a bit excited in it! (5 meg) (http://www.angelfire.com/oz/johng/images/third_run_unedited.MPG)
I managed to capture a pic from the big files :
And the best part was WSID didn't kick us off for running the 10's, in fact they didn't even say a thing. Scrutineering didn't even check if we had a tailshaft loop!?!

lol, cant complain about that! the last pass that ur brother did was awsome!
by the way, did you have a tailshaft loop?

04-03-04, 15:31 GMT+10#17 yeah, he had all the usual stuff. cross ply's on the front, tailshaft loop, fire extinguisher, just to be sure! Scrutineering took all of about a minute, but maybe that was coz he was one of the last cars to go through (about 6:40pm). I think they were a bit more heavy earlier on.
