From this. To this. First road test was done over the weekend and it seems the speedo is very accurate, im quite surprised at this as i was expecting some sort of dramas and even my cruise control on the calais was working. Still got more things to figure out, but intial tests are looking good. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Everything but the fuel estimate guage, just cant be bothered with it at the moment. Ill most likely tackle that in the future. Everything else on it works, all the warning lamps the dimmers, tacho, speedo, temp guage and fuel guage.

well done, buy some more VK clusters and convert them to work (drop in style) and you could make some nice coin

It really did take alot of rooting around but the end results is excellent. The pics really dont do justice and best of all no more stupid speedo cable.

That's awesome, if you could suss that out to sell plug in style, or with minimal work, I'd pay for that

Good on you for having a go at something that most would even think of tackling. And you got it all to work except for the fuel gauge? Bloody decent to get that far. I notice the odometer reading, is that what was on the VK cluster, or can you enter it to corolate to what your original cluster was at?

YEs it is possible to reset the odometer, but i couldnt figure out how to do it and vdo wanted $100 to do it. I know the digital figure speed reading goes up too 210kmph! as i had my drill going this fast. I will be looking at getting the rest of it going in the near future. Only tricky part on it was getting the signals to the auto trans computer correct. Once i figured that out it all came together nicely.
