theres a 3 part series playing in sydney on sundays at 9am about melbourne and its underworld figures. after reading a variety of books and articles on this subject i have to say this is most probably the most interesting thing on tv atm,has anyone seen or is anyone watching this series? 21 deaths in 5 years of underworld killings the police have nothing to work with....whats your say.

Hehe well the best hitmans were always from melbourne. U talking about the moran and Kinniburgh ? I find all that stuff rather interesting, i think i might have to pop in a tape and record it.

not just about moran and "the munster" but many others aswell...its funny how chopper managed to give himself an image everyone finds interesting. i have a family member who is/was an underworld figure,he was known in the underworld as 'AMERICAN DAVE"..for the love of harleys and the american eagle so to say,he was a big time heroin dealer,brothel owner,property buyer,publican but it all came crushing down when he murdered a female for robbing him of drugs and money in 1986 he was later charged in 1993 and sentanced to 13 years jail for the execution style murder and 10 years for drug dealing with a minimum of 20 years before parole,its nothing our familys are proud of but still is loved by all,3 months after his sentancing the crimes commison made him forfiet 7 houses and 2 sports cars to the value of over 2 million dollars,who saids crime doesnt pay but in his case it did then it didnt...he is listed in choppers book number 2 and rated in the top 100 underworld figures of all time,i guess its nothing to be proud of but then to some its like a oscar.

Any of you guys seen "TED BUNDY" the later version on video or DVD? I highly recommend it and watch it with your mum and girlfriend, wife, sister. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well the list of deaths in the underworld killings has risen now topping the 23 mark...the lastest victim being shot just hours after leaving court for the jason moran case and the main suspect for the shooting being victor brincat aka marathon man...the victim told police if he was ever killed not to bother having a investigation like as if he knew he was going to be killed,the shooter also known as gatto aka the don calmly waited for police to arrive and claimed self defence....how things in melb seem to be hotting up.

The killers were pretty cunning, Moran knew his time was up anyhow and i think he was just waiting to get killed while he planned other killings so to speak. Whos going to pay for Morans death? Probably Carl Williams or an associate. Its Tit for Tat in the underworld ranks.

As soon as an innocent bystander gets shot or killed, its all over for all gangland guys. The police dont really mind too much that they are killing eachother, but its too easy for someone to get gunned down by mistake for being in the way. Meanwhile the asian crime gangs are just sweating it out waiting to take over the lucrative market, then you will see a lot of drugs on the street and plenty of drug farked people as they will flood the market.

yeah i dont care what the underworld do as long as they keep the killings to their underworld groups, but the cops are probably in with the underworld somehow, you dont see them disposing of all the drugs they seize do you???

darkstar - your right about the asian mafia just waiting. my mum was across the road having a work conference when lewis moran was shot in brunswick. Like all you guys say, as long as no innocent bystanders get hurt Im not overly worried about it.

dark star your spot on the money,the asian crime gangs are getting bigger and bigger in numbers and flying low making money as best they know how,they are not interested in image but power so with money comes power..ive heard a name get mentioned a few times in melb and he goes by the name of MONKEY,this is the so called up and comer in the underworld of melbourne gangland. from whats been said and done i dont think carl williams has any involvment with the lewis moran shooting,if you may recall kiniburgh was with moran when alfonso gangitano was shot back in 1998 and now both jason and kiniburgh are now both dead i beleive its a much higher power involved in these shooting cause these guys are much younger and less inexperienced in the world of underworld crime,my guess is it would be a figures such as the italians in the honorable society,all in all its 23 dead now and only time will tell when the next victim goes down.

carl williams wants a court order to leave the country in protection....

with all the media carl williams is recieiving its doing him a favour,his lawyer is seeking all charges to be dropped against him for drug distribution cause too much media attention will give him an unfair trial and it looks like he will win....if he does get a court order to leave the country my guess is he will be popped before he gets on a plane,he should of read about the underworld not get involved in it,he will soon become another statisic in the game and leave behind children and a widowed wife/gf
