i just got my Speedo Assy 2day and is going to put it in my MX7 Box this weekend but wen i was looking at the parts picture for the box there was like a hinge bit the cable goes in then goes into the speedo driver and that bit i dont have i asked the guy but he said u cannot get 1 at all unless u get sum1 who dont want 1 then i was talk to Darkstar and he was saying u can use an Auto VLT cable but there is a key inbetween the cable and speedo drive duz this righjt and duz this keyway bit cum with the Auto Speedo cable??
also i noticed that the thread at each end of the speedo drive of a MX7 box and Non Turbo VL box are the same i know the turbo Driver is longer but could i use the keyway from a standard VL?

well i was told u can us the auto cable its just abit longer and dosnet had the angle piece.
hybrid u can buy that keyway at holden for 43 dollars, and i think if u use the auto speedo cable u dont need that keyway but im not sure ask darkstar about that, also that angle bit ucant buy anymore and all standard vlts that were manual had it so i dont know y u dont have 1
well wen i bought the VL Calais the speedo wasnt workin then wen i looked under the car at the box the thread was broken off the speedo sender unit.
i just bought a new sender unit and i havnet got anything else just a speedo cable with nothing to connect it to the Speedo sender unit.
i asked darkstar but he wasnt sure so i though id put up a thread and see wat any1 else has to say.
thankz man cause i just get my license back on Saturday lost it 9 months for speeding and without a working speedo in my calais ill be deadly man lol
