Guys,
I am considering offering RB30 Bottom end's in kit form similar to that of the OS Giken 3 Litre kit but with alot of improvements and at a cheaper price, I have been quoted between $22-25,000 for the OS Kit.
I am aiming to offer the complete bottom end in kit form or assembled for around $15,000-17,000.
The first engine will be finished mid to late this year and from our calculations with the proper suppourt system we will be looking at close to 1400HP at 8,000rpm.
Some of the specs are:
3.2 Litre
86.5mm Bore
Treated, prepped, debuured ad coated block
Head and main studs
Race bearings
Custom Rods
Billet 4340 Crank
Cucstom pistons
Billet Crank Girdle
Billet Sump
All parts are from repected companies from around the world
For more info please email [email removed]
As i stated i am after people opinions if there is a market for this in NZ, Australia and possibly overseas as a cheaper and possibly better alternative to the OS Kit.

How are you going to get to 3.2L with only 86.5mm bore? Are you going to lengthen the already long stroke by modding ROD & Crank specs?
If lengthening the stroke, then how are you going to combat the harmonics enough to rev to 8000rpm? Will your kit come with a balancer?
What about the oil-pump? What pump will you use - and will it run off the nose of the crank?
What Rods, Pistons, rings & bearings (brands please) etc?
What's the go with the billet sump - what for? Is this supposed to be for a VL or for a Skyline? (I assume VL since you're posting here)
...and 1400HP capability - what will you do to the blocks to cope with this?
If you have good answers to all these questions, then maybe 15-17k is a good deal - especially if you're using top-shelf gear (hence why I asked for brands). But without this info, the deal could be crap.
Well the specs of the entire engine will not be released until such a time that i see fit to do so, please note that the 1400HP is a target i have set for myself as i want to have the most powerful RB engine in Australia, so far the bar has been set at 920hp i aiming to smash this and even if i get to 1200hp il be happy, since you would all prefer to know the specs of the engine here, ok here goes:

This engine is to be revved to 8,000rpm for those that wish to rev harder capacity can be kept to 3,000cc and have a rev limit of 8,800rpm this gives a piston speed of 25m/s as used by the worlds best engine builders
Like i said these engines are as strong as and RB30 will ever be with only the block remaining standard, many say the RB30 block will not hold that much HP thats why the Japs use RB26 blocks but ive spoken to a few of Australia's respected RB experts and most have said that the main difference is the sump that add's rigidty and reduced block flex and crank harmonics. Any more questions let me know
I don't think we should bag Jordan people. Everything he says is legit and he has no flaws in his 'engineering design'. If you have read all of his posts around the forum(s) you will see that he is serious and deals with intelligent people.
It is a good assumption that the billet crank girdle and sump will make a difference to the RB30s 'harmonic zones'. What they will do to it however is a different story. For the VLs I would look for something along the lines of a strengthening ribs in the sump's oringinal shape then make thick sheet metal pans to weld to that. Just to keep costs down and practicality up.
Like most people will say, lets wait and see how his motor goes. If it does what it says it will, then i think a few people (or tuning shops) will be interested in your kit. Probably sell well in US and Japan too.
Jordan, whats going on with your cams? Swing them my way and I can select springs for you to prevent valvetrain harmonics and float.
Sorry for all the questions:
Does your engine builder have any input into this project or are you supplying all parts and specs for them?
I take it you will be 'developing' the engine on a dyno? ie trying different cams, turbos, etc?
what fuel will you be using?
why are you using Total seal rings?
You may have said in a previous post, but what is your intended use for the motor?
My engine builder, respected RB expert and myself are doing this together, it will be tuned on an engine dyno and it will be tuned on C16. The intended purpose is to find the RB30 limits as well as possibly offering kits, my engine will be used for drag in a R33 GTR
Jordan
If I had all four, I could cam-doctor them and tell you exactly what they are, how much lifter area they use and match the best set (for your application) to some Isky springs.
The 320 cams sound waaay too big for a turbo motor, but I could compare the profiles to some group A GTR profiles we have that made 700hp with restrictors....

...as I said before: good luck.
But let me be listed as one of the doubters you'll have lots of pleasure in proving wrong.
i take it you are quoting flywheel hp if not ignore me .... if your goal is 1400 hp its only ~50 hp more than GTR700 ..... not critising just saying/asking .... last i heard its rev limiter was something like 13,000 rpm .....
i remember NIZPRO in melb built that white drag car for ben viscontie, and they pushed the block to the limits and they couldnt get much more that 850kw@wheels out of it, they wrote in street commodores the block besign is the main problem for more power, but i will be interested to see the results
So far, I've not seen anyone able to back up their claims - even Nizpro. As I posted in another thread (and got widespread disagreement) - look at the MPH figures these cars run on the quarter mile and then look at their weight.
With a good squirt of NOS and a gut full of C16, these things have not run more than 150MPh (as far as I've seen or heard) and this in a VL that's been lightened to 1100kg.
The math don't add up to 900FWHP, let alone more than that at the tyres.
(now watch me get flamed LOL)
