hi i am wondering how can i make my auto trans kick back into 1st at a speed over 40km/h cause at the moment it only kicks back at anyspeed under 40km/h. The detent switch is properly ajusted. Just wondering cause some VLs can and others cant.

i have put carpet around mine so that it will kick back to first, but VL's are safety limited (by the ECU) to not kick back above 40km/h. so if your safety processes are working properly your car will not kick down to first under these conditions.

the auto trans computer wont allow it to kickdown to first over 40. same as it wont allow it to shift into overdrive until the oil temp is around 45C(I think around that temp..) -jimmy

well how can i change it so that i can kickdown higher than 20, coz my car goes good, but if you floor it doing say 45 or even 50, it doesn't get up speed very quick in second down low unless your doing like 60
