I work in Dandenong, In a quite industrial area. Which I wish the company and address to remain anonomous. While I was haveing lunch in the canteen, a office lady who was having her lunch out in her car parked behind my car, came to me and asked if I was selling my car, I said no then she said because 3 young men are looking at your calais and taking pictures. Very sus, as I knew know one fitting that description and the car they had was a white XF Falcon station wagon on LPG. I ran out there but they were gone so I looked over my car, no damage or things missing so I went to reception to view the video footage of the car park, as we have cameras everywhere in the place. After going through a bit of footage we got them in the act they parked out on the street, walked into my works car park and I watched them going over my car, then they walked off. The time was 12:46am As you could imagine I was pretty upset being a protective parranoid freak for my car. A few hours later at 2:45pm they came back by then everyone at my work was on the lookout for my car, The same 3 young men, I heard my name being called a ran just in time I waved them down as they were about to drive off, they were parked on the main street. I said what are you doing and the driver replied I'm not trying to freak you out I just took a few pictures of your car as I love Calais, then tryed to crap on about how he has photo albums full of VL's. I was'nt inpolite to the young men, but said you are being filmed we have your registation number and descriptions of you on camera so please don't come back. Now my Calais was dirty and is nothing special very standard looking, Why would 3 young men driving a bloody XF wagon be wanting to take pictures of my car. Go to a car show for that type of thing. I suspect they are car theives, why were'nt they at work like the rest of us and besides the XF wagon was probably stolen too. If anyone wants the details here they are. 3 - Young men aged from 18 to 25 driver a skinny looking kid on his "P Plates", passenger front stocky build goate, backseat passenger medium build sunglasses and black beanie. All were white males a couple looked of European appearance. And looked like "Doveton-Frankston Trash". Car- White Ford XF Falcon station wagon. on LPG. standard looking. Registration number. EVN-630. Be very wary of these dudes I have a very strong suspicion they are up to no good. I did'nt inform the police as nothing was touched or missing, so they would probably do nothing. And If you are reading this go get your own Calais, if you love them so much.

Hmmm.. Probably not related, but i had what looked like two males drive very slowly passed my driveway in a white XD-XF sedan about 2 weeks ago now. I was just working on my car as usual on a saturday morning, and then my mum comes out an says she saw this white car driving slowly by.. i thought nothing of it until i was re-fitting my speaers whn i saw them drive past again.... and again.... and again... like in hourly intervals.. that happened two saturdays in a row! But has stopped now. Freaky.

Yeah I know the feeling man. Couple of years back when I had my BT1, I had just finished detailing it as I had just got it back after a rebuild, when I noticed another yellow ceptor drive past real slow with two young lebo's looking real hard at mine. I went inside and told my bro about it. Anyway, I went out to do a bit of chrissy shopping and I got a phone call off my bro saying that they had just come past again but this time stopped briefly. I too being a bit paranoid started to get really really pissed of because I had only had the car back 2 hours after 4 months of it being stuck at a workshop and I had two dogs sussing it out. If I were you I'd be disconnecting a few things under the bonnet before you left it, just for the next couple of weeks anyway. Best of luck.

If I had to resort to driving an XF wagon I'd prolly be pretty keen on stealing a calais too I'd be paranoid as all hell if I was you mate, under normal circumstances I schit bricks, if I saw XF driving bogans casing my car I'd be pulling out the dizzy cap or something every morning. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The fact that they came back I think proves they were dodgy. I would have called the cops as it may have been a stolen car etc. Next time turn off the security cameras and bash the c*nts. And then bash them again for me and my old Berlina. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Tell the cops anyway because you never know what has happened before. Maybe they have had reports of the same suspicious car by other people. The more info the cops get the easier it is to catch them. You might think that the cops don't do much but you would be very surprised. Years ago my dads car was stolen and they found it with a few things belongings missing from inside. 2 years later my dad recieved a phone call from the police telling him to come down to the station to pick up his belongings which they had recovered because they had caught the thieves.

I have a very special parking spot were they would not dare go, unless they want a blade running through them. If they try to touch my car. Everyone at my work knows my car and are looking out for me as well as video surveillance cameras. Which I'm very gratefull. I take great care to avoid my calais being another stolen car statistic and I pay full comprehensive insurance every year. I love my car and intend to keep it mine. When I heard about it the first time I changed car spots to a closer spot with a mate at work and ripped off leads and relays, as well as club locked and alarmed, pretty much not takeing it unless they get a tow truck. Why they came back a second time is pretty obvious to me, to take my car. They did'nt touch anything because I went right over my car, When I spoke to the 3 guy's in the XF I looked around the interior of the car to see if they had any stolen stuff or tools used to take cars, They had nothing. No use using violence or calling the Police as they did nothing except were being sneaky pricks taking photos of my car and I don't know if they were using a normal camera or a digital camera to take the photos either. The thing that angers me is they were shifty by doing this and have my plates on film, I would'nt have minded if they asked someone to get me to talk about my car but even then I would have been suspicious a lonely industrial estate dead end and guys looking for VL Calais while driving a Ford. There are 4 other VL calais in my estate were I work but mine is the only turbo the rest are N/A's and one V8. Scouting for cars to take is my guess too, but they won't get mine without a fight. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i think id be pretty scared if i was you. it does sound kinda like gone in 60 seconds. but the 1st time they rocked up were there 3 guys then? there could have been only 1 or 2 then the 2nd time they were showing a mate. even still who drives around in areas like that at those hours of the night? also fully comp insurance doesnt cover everything. and theres no price on being constantly nervous at work! my advice to u is to make all pics of u car on the net dissapear cos if there smart theyll probably find out a bit of info on u and who u no and etc etc. be carefull dude

oh by a ****ty old datto an use that as a work vehicle. and make sure ur 'other car' is disconnected in numerous places aswell as bolted to the floor. dont forget how many people read these forums so telling everyone how a car is secured wouldnt be a good thing either yeah?
