ok recently i removed my front Windscreen, there was rust found, so i cut the rust out, repaired the whole front windscreen, now behind the calais windscreen there is a rubber thing with metal fins in it that holds the interior trim under it, im going to get a New Windscreen put in, does anyone know if they still use this rubber for the interior, or do they do another method, as i dont want to throw it out if its still needed?

Dont use the rubber thing again with the metal thru it, because thats one of the reasons the front widscreen sill leaks. What i did was cut the perferated edge off my roof lining, stuck it to the front window sill making sure it was only glued 5mm all the way around. Let that dry. GO down to clark rubber and grab some foam with tape behind it. I think i used 10mm thick stuff. Put that over top where the roof lining is glued. Grab you sikaflex gun and squirt away. I made a 10mm high bead all the way around the sil, got the windscreen in place and placed it down, once all thats set, sikaflex down your moulds and presto all done.
