Come on fellas if some of you are making the power you are making with basic mods post up some scanned dyno sheets as proof. Anyways. Bolting on my plenum setup with ZL Ford Fairlane throttle body tomorrow. XF - ZL Same difference. Specs are as follows, TB butterfly 64mm, outlet 68mm, plenum bored to 68mm, I can get a dyno run fairly cheap, maybe for free so I'll put some real dyno results (scanned dyno sheets) up together with pics. If it doesnt make above 100 RWKW then I wont bother posting My car has the same mods as every other NA vl on this site. timing, extractors exhaust, k&n.... If it makes 113 RWKW with the addition of a larger throttlebody and these pitiful mods I will send $100 to Joel in the mail for not lying. Otherwise he will wake up tomorrow with a severed horses head on his pillow. I doubt it will even come close and Joel will never see my money. My guess is 88 RWKW. It cost me nothing to do this I'm just proving a point. I'd love to eat my words tho, wait and see. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Choice Bro, Before and after dyno's showed I gained of around 20rwhp or 15rwkw. So go by this and not the final results. It feels like the car gained between 10-15% more power across all gears. This is what I have learnt from larger throttle bodies: 1.\ Fabricated a 3" stainless cross-over pipe and wrapped it in heat resistive tape. Creates better flow. Anyway you will notice gains straight away, as throttle response improves considerably and so does your power. Regards, Joel.

Mine is auto. In an auto i think 1:1 is in 3rd. Dont quote me on that though. I did the xf tb conversion but the throttlebody i used has a few issues. It wasn't sealing properly so the motor idled at around 1100 rpm. Not good in an auto. Anyway I still took it for a spin and here's my thoughts. Down low: Increased throttle response, Less torque off the line. Mid range: Begins to surge nicely after about 3200 rpm, increased available power and/or torque at rpm range 3200-4800. Top end: I'd say Joel's peak power figure would be very close to the money judging by the acceleration on the freeway from 100ks in 3rd. Conclusion: In my humble opinion this is not the mod to do if u want to beat people off the lights as you sacrifice some of your low down torque. Definitely a mod to improve overtaking power on the freeway and peak power though. I'm going to get a good nick TB and get this guy at work to knock it up for me again. Dyno will be in about a week. Judging by the power on the freeway id now say my peak power figure would be definitely above 95 rwkw maybe above 100.

as for the sealing the t/b, did you close the idle adjustment screw on the actual xf/throttle?
