I got my 1988 SL 5 spd about two years ago now with about 145,000 on the clock. The car had already been lowered with pedders springs and shocks, with extractors and a 2.5" exhaust going through it. Riding on some 16" rims. And an alarm. Click here to see Original look (http://www.rbforums.com/members/bextor84/images/MyImages/oldangle.jpg) Since receiving the car not much has been done, I invested in a new Momo Millenium steering wheel, along with a few bits and pieces that needed replacing. The stereo that was in the car soon got replaced and the new stereo came with the need to get the boot tidy, a few stray bits of carpet on the bare metal were replaced with a picture I'm sure you've all seen. Stereo Install (http://www.rbforums.com/members/bextor84/images/right.jpg) Then of course the old 16's were wearing a bit low on tread, solution: buy new rims and tyres. Some 17 inch Advanti Raptor 5's were paid for, wrapped in Hankook K104 235x45x17 tyres. Cleaned out the tyre wells at the same time. Photo here (http://www.rbforums.com/members/bextor84/images/4.jpg) my paint looks good there. Since that, not much has been done, just replacing headlights. Until recently when the turbo conversion came to mind, and since then I have put in an mx7, which then needed a new cv joint. Brakes are coming up next, converting to vl rear discs, 1" master and either some new commodore fronts, or vlt fronts. Then of course the motor gets worked on. Here you can see my trash door pods that the local car audio shop looked good My Avatar pic, rims and paint Whole Car after a Rainy Day And a dry day Oh, and how could I forget, I painted the dash, center console black. Another bad photo, but check that out here (http://www.rbforums.com/members/bextor84/images/Projects/dash04.jpg) Basically once I fit the vlt spec brakes, I can fix a few odds and ends. Then save for a rb30et. Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Not worth looking at but sure. Resevoir was out because I was replacing it with a new one. Strangely enough didn't get pics of it when I put it in. With that of course comes this - Completely stock except for exhaust and extractors. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cleaned up the engine bay and took a new shot of it. New resevoir and cleaned up the black bits, bit more degreaser here and there. More work is needed til I'm happy with its cleanliness. But it works for now. Car is currently off the road. Been annoying me and its been taking some money for odds and ends, has needed some cash pumped into electrics and brake pads etc. Hopefully she'll be up and running again soon.

Bit of an update: Conversion is a go- ahead yet again. Found a job, the money isn't all that flash and the income is around 150 a week. So anything I do will be done slowly. I've managed to pick up some vlt calipers, and a 1" master. Which will be getting combined with some new wheel bearings, Slotted Rotors, some good pads and some good brake fluid within the next two/ three weeks. After that I will be going discs on the rear which I have already tracked down. Then its a matter of what route to take with the engine. I'm looking at a few options at the moment.. But with any luck something decent will pop up and I'll be able to grab that. Boosting Soon Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
