I've heard claims of over 150 and some poor systems pulling a 115 reading... so how LOUD is YOUR VL? PS: anyone got a completely sound deaden VL sedan? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

For those in Melbourne, and intrested in see'ing how loud their car is- why not enter a dB Drag Racing comp? We'll be holding the first Victorian event for the year on February 21st, at Hifi Supermarket, 159-163 Rosamond Rd, Maribyrnong. It actually kicks off at around 10:30, however if you plan on entering you MUST be there at 9:30. Any questions/comments feel free to email me: [email removed] Regards, Glenn

realistically there isnt much point in posting scores unless they are all performed on the same meter ie. termlab.net. With the old comps they used mics, which unless calibrated properly, could read very different to what it really is. For example at a competition in ACT they used a mic that i honestly dont think has been calibrated in its life and on that scores as high as 159 from 2 x 15" pioneers in a VN calais were achieved in sealed boxes receiving maybe 150wrms each. where when compared to termlab.net it would have most likely been low-mid 130s. I believe glenn (Sleeky) will be running the termlab.net system at the upcoming event and this should be what scores that are posted up, should be made on.

Yeah, at Wagga Wagga last year the old Termpro mics were used. From now on Termlab.net sensors are used, they are much more accurate. Ill post up more details of comps in the coming weeks.
