with the small wheels i can only fit under the rear guards of the wagon, even when they are rolled is enough of a handful on 9 psi.

So it is an internal wastegate T4. or is it a T3/T4 hybrid

wagon01Archived member
Yes its internally gated with a t4/t3 hybrid setup.

too good. If you think it is fast now just wait to you get a cooler and boost it up to 15PSI.

Thats sweet. Nice paint too. I like the motor the way it is, I see your point. But more boost = more fun too.It all depends what you want out of your car. Anyway It looks very neat. I like it lots.

Well neat car man, engine looks mint. You got one of those mad dash's. If you can make me one that plugs straight, I'll pay good money for it. Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Thanks for the comments guys its really appreciated. Well these pic are very old now and the car has progressed to the stage where its almost complete now. I painted the bumpers and the lower calais mouldings on saturday and they look better than the car i believe. Ive done them in gunmetal grey instead of asteroid silver, but i think its going to look smick. Regarding the dash, ive driven around quite a bit, but had a bit of a scare recently where the car didnt change from 1st to second when i took it for a good boot. Im not sure if it was the trans playing up or the signal from my speedo to the trans computer, i have to test it still a bit more before i consider doing a few of them. Thier no point in doing them if their not reliable.

How lovely to hear someone wanting to keep thier VL original! very refreshing, one thing I think you guys don't talk about very much is the fact that when you start doing little cheap things to your 17 + year old motors like boost etc bla bla winding up the turbo to 14+ psi is the fact that you are going to have major costly problems with your car - gaskets blown heads cracked etc.... speed kills, and who wants to pay of a vehicle that they cant drive because of the smash they had when they couldn't handle the extra boost. Insurance is hard enough to get, the more mods even harder and not if but when you loose your licence you cant drive your lovely car anyway. Please don't take this the wrong way but just remember how much you love your car and all the blood sweat & I'm sure tears just look after these classic cars and appreciate & respect them for what GMH produced them as . Cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
