Hey guys,
Engine has a big end knock, so its gonna need a rebuild...
just wondering who you guys think is best. Also if anyone of you can post up what you had done and price.
Probable gonna go down the forged path.
Was thinking...
1. Bresciani
2. JPC
3. PET
4. Pavtek (Have heard they do good work)
What do you guys think?

get a motor rebuilding place to do it. otherwise you pay for the fees of the rebuilder and the fees of the company you went through to get it.
pavtek maybe ?

Pavtek built a mates motor, think it was around $3,000 or something like that assembled, o-rings, forgies and all the other stuff they do for you.
He was going to do it himself but did his maths and it's cheaper to get them to build it and assemble, once you work out all the machine work cost parts and etc.
And it's a strong motor too, lasted on 21psi for 2 years now.

Ring Bresciani for good work and prices.

07-01-04, 15:28 GMT+10#12 SALIBA Engine Conditioning in S.E Suburbs.
Speak to Charlie Saliba, he does alot of engines for HSV, HDT, FPV, BMW, hes a top bloke. Been in the business for 20+ years.
I fix his PC that connects to his engine dyno (dynoaflow). And believe me I have seen 800HP monsters at the engine not wheels !!!! boys.
Charlie and his mate builds all the HSV V8 Super car engines.
I can asure you there work is 100% but you might want to go to PET, or RAJAB, JPC, Pac Performance in Oakleigh
Oh: They all use MOTEC as the Engine ECU and Nissan oil filters LoL

About that phone them up for a quote or better still drop by for a chat.
They fitted SPS forged pistons, and quite alot of work to the motor too o-ring block, balance, mild port job on the head stronger valve springs, etc.
But I have no idea what bearings they used, lets hope they are not ACL rubbish.
It costs a bit for the work but hopefully it will be reliable for a few more years yet, thats why my mate went for all the good stuff.
Duggans is also good, go there as well for a quote as well then decide.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
