thats right..the running gear was sold and fitted into a skyline and the shell is somewhere in sydney...but dont quote me on that....it was said the owner ran out of money...the car was 99% complete...why on earth would you sell up when is was almost complete..i think theres another story to it and also heard that mcfadden race engines/vtek were involved in some on the side business and the companys were investigated...but dont quote me on that too.

there was a thread on this previously the car was transferred from adelaide to sydney... as mcfadden weren't good enough apparently. VL used to be at the place where i used to have my car's work done - mobil kogarah looked a beast even when it wasnt started most of the time, speedo and tacho read 300km/h and 14,000revs respectively on an original calais instrument cluster . It had calais 15's but width was an enormous 10 or 11 inch, like to know how they did that . only thing i didnt like is that it was a bit shabby and the silly rear bumper was disgusting. owner also owned an r34 skyline. he took the rb26/30 and put it in the skyline, and was to place a Nissan VQ45DE in it with TT. Was always at the workshop but work was very very slow on the car. have to say that the skyline was planning on beating some fastest skyline record that they were targeting, but it had a few nigglys and was always in the workshop. PAC perf. had a lot to do with it as well as the workshop owner and PAC owners are closely related and they were affiliated in a way back then. (back then = 1-3yrs ago) workshop owner has now packed it up and chosen another path of business, and that meant not much more work done to the VL or any of his other customer cars. he has taken up minor backyard jobs. i think from there, its just been dismantled, but not too sure about it. but to be honest, dunno what has happened to the VL or the Skyline since, and they departed Kogarah Sydney about a year or so ago. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

There was really a 13B hiding inside the motor, as they were looking to rev to 11000rpm.........

Turd machine. If the info in zoom is correct - its a total piece of garbage. Built by someone with too much money and no clue. The car is nowhere near being a complete package - as real cars must be to perform.

On another note i couldnt see it running 8s with a R33 skyline gearbox as that would probably disintergrate on the startline.Jerry

The workshop closed pretty much after this article was writtern. I have heard (dont quote me on this) that the owner got caught for tax fraud. But this really doesnt make much sense, if the owner was charged for tax fraud, wouldnt the car be in police possession? eh who knows and who cares, it was a piece of crap anyway.
