I currently own a VLCT with a standard wastegate sorta setup.. so i get the vroommmm ch ch ch ch sound.... though i also own a GFB Dual Port (plumb back + trumpet) BOV that i was going to install... But someone told me i will lose power if i goto the bov... i dont really know.. and was just wandering the advantages and disadvantages of a BOV over the standard setup.. Cheers.

well i guess lol but i wanted to base my decision more on what would be better for the car... I have heard some BOV's can cause some back firing probs.. is that true? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

in another word NO, don't do it. there is arguments for and against but most people make plenty of power without em and resist the temptation to go full ricer sneeze boys.

you will not gain, or lose power by putting a BOV on your car. I'm getting sick of mine, it was there when I bought the car, but I think I might ditch it. either that or put on the bosch plumback one on i have sitting in my cupboard

i have a turbosmart type 2 on my car, i have the vac hose disconnected so it wont blow off, the sound annoys me. I agree with the fact that they are good for turbo life, but just dont like the sound. If you can adjust the one you have to be silent and still work, thats what i would do. Im looking into buying a plumback BOV to replace the one i have now as i want it there to do its job, but hate the sound.
