Just a bit of info and some pics of my VL calais. Since i was 18 i've owned 3 NA vl's, one of which i did quite a lot of modifications to. After my last NA VL was written off in a accident I went out and bought a 88' VL S2 Calais which was a NA back then, it was a 2 owner from Keilor East area in melb, When the motor blew up I decided to put in a RB20DET conversion as after reading SC and Zoom magazines it didn't seem that difficult. Being a backyard mechanic and having worked on my NA and a mates VL turbo (which i now own) I pulled out the motor and box and put in the RB20DET and 5spd, after trying to get the ecu to fire up, I decided to send the car down to JPC Turbocharging in Melb, after about a months wait on JPC the car was ready to go, JPC did the work on the intercooler and the engine wiring and dyno work. back in early october the engine did a timing belt and killed the fun, so far the motor is out of the car and will be back goin mid jan 04 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If you have 'P' plates and/or have big rims on the front & ceptors on the back, you'll become cop bait... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Car is all back together and working fine, it went to JPC and all that was stoping the motor working was blocked injectors(crappy Jap fuel), Im taking it to the local drags next weekend (April 18th) to see how it goes, i'll put up a post as to what time it did etc..
