Back in September 1998, Chris pick up this rare HDT Calais Sport turbo. At the time, the car was pretty well modified, having run a best of 12.2 by the previous owner. The car back then had the plates HDT-12C and has also been featured in Street Commodores Magazine (#12).
Since then, Chris has poured in a lot of time and money into the Brock, and it now has the potential to run a strong 11 sec pass. The motor has been rebuilt and fitted with forged pistons and gapless rings. Boltons have been significantly upgraded over stock, and the VL now Sports (excuse the pun) a Garrett T4 turbo, Nizpro plenum and extractors, a big front mount intercooler, and Turbonetics blow off valve. Also upgraded has been the computer, and the car is now run by a EMS computer which feeds triple coil packs.
The jatco auto has been modified to cope with the power and a 3200 Dominator coverter has also been fitted. The exhaust is a 3" item, and in the rear is a 4.11:1 LSD. All of this work was done to a very high standard by C&V Performance. The fuel system has also been upgraded with a surge tank and the fuel pump has also been upgraded.
The rims are standard Brock items, 16x7" Aeros, and there is a 5th in the boot. On the inside, Brock Scheel interior is also fitted. These are awesome seats as anyone who has sat in them or owned a scheel fitted brock will attest.
The previous owner entered the car in the HSV/HDT show and has won several trophies. However, Chris has never entered the car in any show or raced the car.
The car now has 143,000 kms and is in immaculate condition. It has all original HDT paperwork and build plate. The VL is registered in NSW until March 2004.
If you are seriously interested in this car, offers of around $20k are being considered. You can contact Chris on [phone removed].

Why would it need forgies? Plenty of 12 second cars with stock bottom ends.
P.S That car is ***n tough. Consider a part trade?lol

you may have seen it as JET-3OL at summernats 18 with the HSV 19s on it...
it has now gone back to standard look ie. hdt wheels are back on and no more workshop stickers on windscreen
this is a nicely kept example of an LE, but it needs a microtech!!!
