QLD Commodore Cruise - for Cancer Research due to the masive response i decided to post an update here as there are members from other forums attending as well THIS IS A COMMODORE ONLY EVENT! mark it down on your calender as this is allready gathering huge interest allready (60 odd cars) $10 donation required (towards research for cancer) details are as follows: 25th of january 2004 meet behind b.p stayplylton in the truck parking bay (yatala north exit) departing at 10 am cruise to designated bbq area (TBA) after bbq we are cruising to the spit southport after regrouping at the spit at about 2.30pm we will begin cruising down the esplanade into surfers paradise cutting a lap of the esplanade and at the indy pitts where we will be joining the UTEZ.COM crew after 3pm (macintosh island) from there you can hang and talk cars and stuff with us there and/or keep cruising surfers. about 4.30ish we will be cruising with utez.com crew to b.p coomera and ending in the truck parking bay there. what to bring: Food and drink for bbq, Sunscreen/hats etc, Money for petrol, video and Cameras (with film and batteries) , portable uhf or cb radios ,fold up chairs.<u will not get any other chance to get any of these other then at b.p. starting point or after the cruise ends at the indy pits or after the cruise with UTEZ to b.p coomera> burnouts, doughnuts, drifting or racing will not be tolerated and your plates will be taken down and refered to the police to be dealt with. i am not saying not to have fun just we got to keep it legal and safe as a member of the media will be joining us this is a serious cruise to show the media that we are not about racing and doing skids etc. we are actually serious about our hobbie and if it goes off without any trouble there will be more like it. email me [email removed] with the title "commodore cruise" or get me on msn messenger if you want more info

UTEZ.COM are having their 1st anniversary get together at the indy pits and they have booked it out and they will have it blocked off the whole day. however after speaking with one of the organisers from UTEZ.COM they are letting us join them after 3pm in the indy pits then we are going for a run out on the m1 to b.p coomera after with the utes.com crew about 4.30ish that way the northsiders can just cruise back home up the m1 and the gold coasters can go their seperate ways after

northsiders can meet at aspley macdonalds leaving at 8.30am on the dot be there or get left behind

not long to go now guys just remember to be at the meet spots on the day before the leaving time or you will get left behind

have the boys in blue been notified of this, or can we expect some hasltle?

a car with the boys in blue are going to tag along to keep the peace and do a bit of a demo on how the car works and radar guns work etc.. break the peace and they will be let loose on all of us and u will have about 100 ppl wanting to beat your ass the police have to come due to the amount of cars coming on the cruise if you got a problem with them don't come

Good to see the boys in blue coming along for the sole purpose of keeping the peace and being friendly !!!! good on em ! Dunno how you got this organised, but hopefully it will be a step forward in the "car enthisiast - police" relationship. I shall be there. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Just change of times for the REDLANDS AREA people. We are no meeting at capalaba maccas at 7.30am instead of 8am. Just to get into stapylton before the mad rush!!!!

hey guys have your drivers licence ready when u get there cuase we will want to move you threw as fast as we can 10 am we are out of there depending on how many turn up we may have to split up the pack into two ( police order)for all parts of the cruise due to it being a long weekend and all and every man and his car on the road we will be having a small show and shine while we are at bwcp to keep yas entertained and running a small raffle of some gear we have been donated got some nice trophies made up to be handed out at 1pm BEST VB-VC BEST VH-VL BEST VN-VP BEST VR-VS BEST VT-VX-VY BEST MONARO BEST STATESMAN (all models) BEST WAGON (all models) BEST UTE (all models) ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD For the car u think deserves a prize just for coming regardless of its condition remember to bring your food and drinks hats sunscreen chairs etc.. on the day and have them camera's ready and charged to capture all the hot commodores on the day~! so make your car is clean and polished up well even if you are not going in the show n shine and i will see you guys bright and early sunday morning at 9 am its supposed to rain tommorow and on Sunday... A possible late storm. but a MAX temp of 29 so lets hope it blows over and we have a fine day out (prays for no rain) even if it does the cruise will go on we will just find an alternative spot to go to

Any chance of a Best Lexcen award? not that i'd win it but thought it may be an idea... too late now anyway.
