Does anyone know whether there is a specific run in period for a diff which has been lapped in with second hand gears or can the car just be driven normally? I am going to fit diff in later this afternoon or tonight when it gets cooler and I just need to know whether to take it easy for a while. The diff is a VL drum diff which has been converted over to rear VN discs and has a spaced out 3.45:1 crownwheel on a BW 75 series LSD centre from a ZL Fairlaine.

the best you could do is drive around in it sensibly, and drain oil after 100-200kms, this will remove any metal particals etc, i dont think there is anything like a run in period for differentials thats what i did when i put my LSD in and shes runnin sweet
