my mates 6 speed VXSS only managed a 14.4..
and dont say its the driver cos he also owns a 9second torana and knows how to drive...
come see me once my VT is finished and i will race you they are easy to get power out of to a certain point (up to about 240rwkw) then you gotta start spending a bit more money..

I raced a manual VY HSV R8 Clubby 3 days ago, and ripped it a new asshole espesially on top end and before that i had also killed VX GTO Monaro. No camparison VLT have too much torque.

What is it with you and peoples asses. In another thread you want to stick your club lock up some kids ass.
Can't wait till my ford is sold. I'll have a rb20.

well i have owned both and i still have the gen 3 and the vl turbo is long gone (Not knocking the vlt just wanted something newer)
ive beaten some vlts and some vlts have beat me. And the best ive run is a 12.8 1/4. Dont worry there are more mods on the way to dip it in the low 11s then i'll be ripping new assholes everywhere. Well most of them anyway

I've owned heaps of VLTs and I'd still prefer a Gen III. And boy are they cheap at the moment.
A 2002 VX SS can be had for under $30K....that's cheap.
And you don't have the theft worries of a VLT

stock a ls1 will do a mid to low 14,
stock a vlt will be lucky to do a low 15
the ls1 car is also 200kgs+ heavier depending on the model.
