I'd just like to say a big farewell to VLT87, one of Brisbane's tuffer VL Turbo's.
I'm sure anyone who's ever seen this car run can vouch for the solid performance this car has shown in the passt as well as the p00n attracting features it has displayed on various EXCHASER CRUISES.
Unfortunately, VLT87 is being stripped and going to many different homes, for what can only be vital "transplants" for the VLs receiving its parts.
I'd like to pay my respects to the car, and its owner Gormo, the big tubby fellah. He's put a tonne of effort into it, and I'm sure it was more than capable of running a 10 second pass with bigger injectors and more boost, but the "unstreetable" nature of the VL including its rollcage/manually shifted C4 g/box, and general police seeking attention, has been its demise.
I'm sure many Brisbane VLT owners can attest to my comments. Its a sad day to see this car pulled to pieces.
RIP VLT87
PS. Jim Beam is your friend

It'll be a sad day when VLT87 is no more...
What is the go Brendan, are you selling as driveline and rolling shell or each part individually?
It would be a shame to see the old Sport shell pulled apart.
P.S. seeing RIP VTL87 freaked me out, i thought it'd been stolen or smashed.

point 10. Somin eats **** !!
Well, I cant believe gormo has decided to pull it apart before running a 10 in it. The amount of money spent on that bad ass mofo of a vl, and the poof skimps out on a set of injectors.... oh well, i prolly would too if i was as WHIPPED as that big tubby fellah. But anyway back to the point. I first went in that car when it was a 5speed, it was my first ever VLT experience, and i'll cherish the memory forever (i just have to go get a tissue)
ok back..
then I got delivered in it to my formal when it first got the gt35 put on
hrmm, anyway that car would have a lot of alcoholic beverage stains on the carpet from that druk mofo simmo who loves hanging out the window licking in between his fingers while he calls my mums name at the top of his voice. dirty poof !!
Car was pretty awesome, shall its internals live a happy life in some other vls i know of.
In conclusion. **** BEENLEIGH POLICE !!!!!!
Goodbye
Ollie

22-12-03, 01:22 GMT+10#17 shame to see the car go, was awesome and seemingly like many others here, one of the first vl turbo's i saw and the reason i still want one now. The first cruise i went on, (think it was exchaser #1 as well) i saw it and loved it and to see it on the last cruise i was still in awe, good luck in the future brendan, don't think much will feel the same as VLT87 tho

22-12-03, 08:48 GMT+10#18 What will be a great loss to brendon will benefit others like myself who is buying the c4 and nizpro plenum. I went in the car on thursday it seemed very streetable and a very bullet proof setup. It's good that Brendon didn't just leave the car to rot in his garage. He realises that his time with the car is up and to his credit others can now benefit from this. Sick car Brendon and one day the bug will bite again and u will have another vlt87 back on the street

22-12-03, 09:22 GMT+10#19 have to pay my homage to the man! That was one unbelievably great car and it will be sad to see it go :-( I too was blown away in that ICB tunnel that night and can still hear the sweet symphony of boost in my head.
I remember sitting at willowbank hoping for that 10 so i could tell my mates where to stick it, shame it never came. Hope you find something fun to squirt around in Brendan.
