Guys please keep this thread free of bull****.. i don't want to have to ask for this one to be closed as well. Anyway as per my previous thread, i have spent some time cleaning up the car to a reasonable state... and well as of Sunday, there will be very little, or none of the "mardi gras float" white interior left. So far i have thrown the clear indicators in, dropped a genuine VS S/C V6 cold air kit in, and had a 2.5" cat back exhaust fitted with a single Lukey high flow (ultra flow i think) muffler fitted. I also took the ugly tow ball tounge off. The exhaust has it sounding really nice compared to the whisper quite thing it used to be. Its all mandrel from the cat back and comes into a 3" dump tip. The interior i sprayed everything back to pretty much standard colour with the exception of the dash surround and the centre console which are in GTS-R Yellow.... its just something i'm deciding if i like for now. Cold air was a pain in the ass to fit.. you can tell its not meant to be fitted to a non s/c engine. The holes that come in it for the mounting are useless because you go to screw through there and its the top of the radiator so there is just hardcore double sided tape holding it there for now. And the snout out of the air box is in the way of the trans line to the cooler, so i had to move that out of the way. Otherwise it works well. As for whats still to come, i have some Calais nose grills for it on order but i won't be getting those for a couple of days because Zupps spare parts had none, neither did Eagers. Lowering quote was $505 from pedders for FE2 height supply and fit, or Fulcrum was $690... Other than that.... the boot goes this weekend to make a bit more room and neaten it up some more. I can't even fit the esky in there at the moment. I have SOME pics below... and yes i know its in desperate need of a wash, i realise i have the number still on the side, and i know it needs a vaccum. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That dash is surely a little hard on the eyes in daylight?

Yeah it is a bit that way... but so was the white. I dunno as i said it was just something i thought i'd have a look at and see if i liked it. Its growing on me but i dunno... i want something thats gonna be easy to keep clean rather than the bloody white.

Starting to look good Rob, just do whatever you want, who gives two sh!ts about what anyone else thinks, its your car. Lukey mufflers tend to have a good note on the V6, sounding good at idle also. SS Kit and it'll be looking even better. Jake.

Very true BUT i think lowering will come before a kit... if one of the brisbane guys wants to help me fit springs (i haven't had much experience with springs) then that'd be great. i asked today about the VR S lip and was told $375 or some bloody thing for it unpainted... i know where Zupps get their bloody money. (a big **** you to zupps)

nah i wasn't about to spend $25 on something i had anyway, and 10 mins with a pencil blow torch and a stanly knife couldn't fix. The hard part was the trans oil cooler line and the air con line... i was able to drop the air con line down because the air con is rooted anyway but its still a tight fit.

haha jigsaw is a little easier . Was it one of the ones from ebay or did you get it from Zupps? If it came from Holden how much do they want and are the following part numbers correct? 92053314 (Duct assembly) 92053315 (Inlet assembly) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I would change the lexcen RH Front guard to a standard Commodore one, and get rid of the door moulds. To me, these 2 things let it down in its looks.

The clear side repeater lenses look good on it.

Yeah the lexcen 1/4 panel is low on my priorities... fair enough it looks dodgy but its there, it works, its in great nick, and the gap really isn't that big. But you're right, the door moulds look ****house... if i can get them off without it looking seriously gay (leaving glue and faded paint) i'll do it. I'm trying that tomorrow.

some mods, good to see. the yellow is better then the white, i'd probably go with something closer to what the external paint colour its. A dark blue or something similar- Just my thoughts. Apart from that - on the right track. And yes I for one would also like this thread to stay open without all the comments being made, I think its quite clear - with the amount of times *those* comments have been said. Chris

I agree... i'm open to comments but when its the same old bull**** from Tweak, it gets my back up and i get ****ty. You're right about the dash though, that could be interesting if it were the same paint as the external. Might look into that. Keep the idea's coming. And don't say sell it... i'm keeping it now because i've kinda started liking it now. And don't say lower it, i KNOW that needs to be done, i'm just waiting to make some good money off my shares then i'll do it.

Take off the whole inside door handle and paint it yellow rather than just the insert, would look better IMHO

how much are u gonna dump it ? that thing would need atleast 2 1/2 - 3inch maybe more ... really unless u clean up them wheels, i rekon you need to get some bigger ones, not sayin the ROH RT's are bad, but bigger like 17" or 18" the wheels ya got now will look ok when its dumped, but it would look alot better with bigger wheels, and wheels make a car, as i rekon they are the most important thing if you want ur car looking good apart from body and paint
