hey lads - just been havin a look around the car today and its just one of those things i wanna tidy up. you've gotta admit, a ridged bit of plastic looks pretty stupid. talking about the plastic strips under the door that hold the carpet down. anyone changed these somehow? very interested to see something done to these. I'm looking into changing to vn, vp or vs sills at the moment pending what comes up in this thead. however would love to see something with more of a stainless steel finish. anyone?

I talked to my dad about it.. Getting some sheet metal folded into that kind of shape or similar. He's worked with metal for a good handful of years and he claims it can't be folded in such a way that it goes.. _/\_ and I really don't believe it. But I guess I'll find out. If anyones seen the HSV ones - thats kinda like what I am after, without the hsv of course. Maybe - calaisturbo.com.au or something *hint hint* Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

get a plastic apholstry cleaner and go over them with tooth brush, then spray with amourall ... then if they still look bad, consider new ones

Mate, I can go over them with a toothbrush and amourall - And its just the whole tacky plastic looking stuff that doesn't impress me. After something classier.

A mate of mine had some made out of polished stainless steel and engraved with "VK BROCK GROUP 3" .An old bloke here on the coast made them up for $120 plus engraving. I don't see him anymore but I have another mate that works for a sheetmetal place ,I'll ask him if he can make up a batch. Alloy or Stainless?

just buy yourself an engraver and do whatever you want on it. I'd prefer plain, or maybe with some lines going across it, just a metal version of the current sills, except with a bit more square shape to it. But if it looks alright I'll definately consider it

Well I saw the guy today by chance at work! He's gonna measure my car up and make mine first He said alloy or stainless and I told him either or. I will take photos of mine and put them up for you guys to decide. He also said they will be a good price but couldn't give me a figure yet. P.S I will not be making any money out of this. I'm just doing it 'cause I know how badly needed this product is. So chill peoples and I will keep you all posted. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
