Okay, i've saved up about $8000 to play with.
Firstly, $900 of this will go to a 3" exhaust from dump pipe, and grind out the lip.
Secondly, i really should get an LSD.. any clues how much i should pay guys? My bt1 didnt come with one.
Thirdly, extended third party insurance, about $500.
So lets say the LSD will cost me $600, that leaves $6000 for go fast mods.
I've rung NIZPRO and spoke to Simon, and silly me left all my quotes at work, but from memory, A Front mount cooler, hi flo turbo, dyno time with hi-lo boost settings, its was roughly about $4500.. and thats WITHOUT a catchcan. bah!
I gave JPC a call, spoke to Mark, top bloke really helpful, his price was about $200 cheaper, and estimated around the same rwk's as NIZPRO which was 180-190 depending on engine, injectors etc.. which are both stock.
Gave MAHNKEN'S AUTO TUNE a holla, he was by far the cheapest with about $3500, but, his cooler was smaller, and he said JPC and NIZPRO were "optimistic" with there RWK's estimations.. and went on about reliability etc etc..
Rang AVO, couldn't get through, as usuall.. lol.
SO, my dilema, i live close to NIZPRO.. do i pay the extra and give Simon the job? He was the ONLY one that told me about how variable the hi-flo turbo can be, depending what i want out of it later depends on how he builds it.. i thought that was rather professional. BUT, i have to pay the price.
OR, JPC was that little bit cheaper, estimated the same power but i have to travel a bit to get there.. oh, and no catchcan.
Any idea's? Am i spending my money on the wrong mods? i dont think so personally but maybe someone might think of a different way to go?
Cheers.

First of all I'd say that $600 is optimistic for a turbo LSD. For that price you might get the centre, but not the whole thing.

Ive got an idea. Sell ur car, I don't know how much for but you should be able to buy PSI.O3L! You'll save a ****load!

Why don't you give places like Bresciani or PET a ring and ask them for prices as well.
BTW you get a discount at Bresciani if you pay $10 to become a member of this forum

if i were you, i'd go with nizpro.
LSD 3.45 4 pinion 28 spline axels *new* will cost you $1200 fitted including gst
so that works to $5400 to spend on mods
see what else can be done with the xtra cash you have at nizpro
i dont have anything against any other one of them company's its just i like the sound of the professionalism

87_DeVL: $1200? wow.. for a new one thats fair enough i suppose, where can i get one of them? Any diff place?
At this stage NIZPRO is going to get the job, i've dealt with them before.. but im unsure of there "presentation" as they didnt do a "nice looking" job on my mates car and he had to go back and forth etc etc.. but they did live up to their claim of "performance tuning".
RB3-747: Yeah, i will be giving PET and Bresciani a call next week.. whats the discount? like 5% or something?

If you have 8 grand, I'd either sell yours and put all the money towards something that already has mods done, or
if the LSD is on the list, yeah $1200 seems about the go, leaving you with $6800. if you can only get 180-190rwkws for that money, you are doing something seriously wrong.
T3 hi flowed to TO4E specs is $1600 (quote from ATS)
Exhaust fdrom turbo back $1160 (quote from Exhaust technology)
GTR injectors $400 cleaned and delivered
Microtech second hand $1000 installed
Bosch fuel pump $300
GTR intercooler and piping $1000
now this leaves you with $1340
which can be used for tuning and sundries.
I would estimate this would give an easy 220 rwkws, who knows, maybe more.
and evertything apart from the exhaust and microtech I would say do yourself. Unless you're handy with electricals and a welder.
good luck

dude,
give Dennis at P.E.T Mods (9464-4225) a call, you'll will not be sorry as he is very competent when it comes to getting VLs running more power and quick times.
Just tell him that Gorjan (RS500) referred you.

13-12-03, 18:40 GMT+10#10 Thomastown, same as J.P.C. If I was you, I'd do as the boy's said, and go around to P.E.T/Bresciani/Rajab, and see what they can also do for you.
I alway's prefer to deal with operation's of this nature in person, as these guy's get their fair share of dreamer's calling, and might not steer you in the right direction.
Another thing, before you lay any money down, I'd suggest you factor in an Auto trans, or a new tough clutch, as that sort of power increase will be felt through these area's.

13-12-03, 21:06 GMT+10#11 MOREPSI.. i dont have $8000 for mods man, $1200 for an lsd, $500 for insurance
plus money for a roadworthy.. i'll allow $300 for that.. so in actual fact, its more like $6000 for mods. So is 180-190 rwk's still sh!t for $6000?
yes true, i can imagine all the "dreamers" calling up wasting their time. I might pop into NIZPRO first considering i live 10 mins away and talk to them, then cruise over to thomo and pay a visit to the other companies and see what they can do.
I will definetly need a heavier clutch though.
It's all very well saying i should be able to get 220rwk's or more by buying the items seperatley.. ie: ats hiflo, gtr injectors, second hand motec etc etc.. these items dont appear in the tradingpost or on this site for that matter every day.
I want to goto one place, have them source all of these parts for me (as MOREPSI listed), fit them all, dyno the thing, and i'll hand over the money no worries.
Damn, i've always wanted about 200kw's at the rears, i think that'd be awsome, but if you guys think i might be able to get a little more than that with about $6000 then that'd be ideal.

13-12-03, 21:51 GMT+10#12 You'd be lucky to get that sort of power, IF the modification's you were adding were top quality item's.
