was wondering who has replaced there standard rubbers with either new ones or different ones (SKDMUP in SC mag used VT windscreen rubber) was just wondering how hard it is to do.... do u mainly do this replacement with a respray?? i figure a few ppl wouldve done stuff to their windscreens due to the rust that vl's are notorious for around them... fish oil spray or wateva? thx

it is very simple to do , use a vk or thereabouts rubber. you will need to bog up the corner area (top of roof/window) where the original plastic cover goes . very good option to do if u wanna respray the turret etc at the same time

Yeh i used the Vn rubber it went in with out any hassle. Like Andrew said you also hav to close the holes over and spray them.

if ur talking about those big black plastic things ontop of the corners of the windscreen, ive inquired about these and have been told they are no longer produced ... which is a bitch, so i spose try and find some from wreckers in good nick, otherwise your gonna have to go with a different plastic

holden sell the plastics for the front screen brand new for 120 a set, but you cant buy the actual rubber from them. not that it ****ing matters anyway since the original front seals on vls are pieces of ****. go the vk seal.
