Hey All, In my area last night, my mate "had" VX SS rims on his VR Berlina and this morning he found it on the ground with no wheels... We suspect a blue VK Commodore in the area who "mysteriosly" now seems to be appearing to drive around with "those" rims... but I don't know what my friend will do... Most probabily cope it on the chin . Moral to the story is to make sure you have lock nuts to the rims. Cheers. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

and a good alarm with a shock sensor... I've heard this story too many times. still, better than having the whole stolen i guess.

If the car was parked in Scumshine or St.Malta... , then the whole car would of been taken... Did someone have something against him??? Cheers Mick Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers Mick Too true... that is why my blue car is fitted with all the sensors under the sun so no one can take anything away from me As for something against him... Nah don't think so... they may have been eyeing the activities and the car for a few days before they knocked it off... i'd go over to his house, acting as if u dont know him, and dont blame him, but say, 'hey, was driving past, and those rims looked very familiar to me' talk nice to him, and then ask where he got them, how long he had them, u know, just ask this **** out of curiosity, and watch him while he ****s himself. if u want, i would go over there the nite b4, get a screwdriver, and put a 'distinctive' scratch in em. (the nite b4). and then say, u mind if i have a look, coz i remember my front left had a ding in it, just so im sure theyre not mine. look on all 4 rims, and go to the one wit the scratch last.......dude will **** himself. if he fails to provide u wit proof of purchase, tell him u will be in contact with the police. i know this sounds a bit dud, coz i could go to anyone's house and do this, but worth a try.

just a suggestion that i havnt tryed. but when u first get the rims engrave ur initials or something distingushable in behind the back of the rim where it cant be easily seen buy anyone and then u can tell if there urs by looking at them. and also take a photo of that distinguishing mark and show the police, they carnt argue with that. but anyway goodluck in getting them back Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You can get your car sprayed with that Chip Paint stuff, whatever the hell it is. Really really small things that with the right equipment give the right people serial numbers which could be then related back to a database. Read it on the net not long ago. Can get it done for 500 bucks at some places - they spray the whole car, parts etc, its designed to stop theft of parts and cars because you've pretty much gotta strip every part back to bare metal to get rid of them. And it'd be a painstaking process. Can see them with an ultra violet light or something I think. Would be worth checking it out, you may be able to get things painted, Maybe instead of getting the whole car done, you may be able to get important things, Engine, Rims. Someone might wanna check it out.

Hey All, My friend I think went to the insurance and now has VY SS rims on his car... I don't know the legilities of what happened if he did go to the police or not. But I know for sure he has lock nuts on his wheels. I'll adivise him to see if he can get the old wheels back so i can buy them but at the rate of me being busy... I have no luck. Cheers All.
