There are many variables that can be changed from dyno to dyno, or even setup differently (moving of temp sensor for example) to give even a 50rwkw increase in power on the same car. It would be great to have one dyno for all cars and a 'standard' so that power figures between cars / states etc are accurate. Sadly its not the car, so take each power reading with a grain of salt. Try to go by both power and quarter mile times to get an accurate measurement.... i can bull**** the dyno to make it say ive got 400rwkw but ill still run a **** time for the 'claimed' power output.

Darkstar: Very true. Power outputs can vary dramatically between dynos, and even different days on the same dyno. Can also come down to what dyno operator wants the car to make! If Eastern Creek hadn't shutdown for it's final two meets of the year, I would have timeslips to back it up, but I'll just have to hold up until WSID opens early in the new year. The slicks have been put in the garage for now, and hopefully myself and JET-88C can run some quick numbers when we get out there. 355 rwkw is alot of mumbo (475 rwhp +). I don't know how the standard exhuast manifold would take that, even with a big enough turbo to make that sort of grunt. I'm thinking mine is at the limit now. And I think the throttle would have to be modified somewhat as well on the inlet side.

355 rwkw out of stock rods, pistons and ex manifold is a heap!! i'd be rechecking those numbers, or maybe it is in rwhp regards mark Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

fyi, the car in question was developed and dyno'd by P.E.T Mods. the engine still retains the standard exhaust manifold which has been ported, and the inlet manifold also hosts an XF throttle body. Although, it does have a good turbo combo which allows for this kind of power. vlc_3lt, the numbers definitely are correct, as the car has run a 10.7 before while melting a spark plug in the top end fo that run.

I believe Roger De Beno from Rajab Racing Developments is/was running a standard exhaust mainfold and a n/a inlet mainfold with a standard throttle body, and still managed a 9.5. So i beg to differ what u say OMY30L.

If that is the case, more power to him. Very impressive and shows you don't have to go all out on custom stuff to make that sort of power and run the times. I just thought at least one of those 3 would have been upgraded, seeing that almost all other cars out there running similar times all have custom setups for those parts.

Agree with JETLAG all the stanard equipment can handle a lot of power proof by Rajabs and many cars OMY30L what setup do you run, turbo and ecu combo etc. Most dyno's read different and as drakstar said if the dyno tuner wants he can make a car that has a real 150rwkw have 250 rwkw easy just buy changing some imputs into the dyno computer and I think also shottout mode shows more KW than in like a tune mode.

All I need to have the same as you is the Cam and Turbo, oh and 3 psi more boost. How much will a TO4E cost me? I'm only searching for 250rwkws. still have 70rwkws to go.
