to be honest you cant really tell that much from the outside, the best way to tell is to have a look at its guts. dont tell me you got ripped off mate

apparently you can tell very easily br0. also ones 4 pinion cast, the other 3 pinion alloy. yes i have been ripped off. and very badly, and its going to get VERY messy. so im starting off with consumer affairs. dont really want to get into the nitty gritty, and for anyone that does know please keep it to yourself as I dont want to get counter sued for defamation - if thats how you spell it. need pics

Petros, the Turbo bellhousing does'nt have a lock up convertor solenoid, Where as the N/A auto has the solenoid located on the bellhousings LHS. Although the bellhousings can be changed very easily by a dodgey character trying to pass a N/A auto off as a Turbo auto. Also the N/A oil pump housing has ball bearings blocking the outer passages faceing out where the torque convertor sits. And the turbo auto has grub screws. The input shaft on the turbo auto has a little O-ring and the N/A has no O-ring. There are a few other differances, best to consult a reputable transmission shop. Raceglide's in Tulla built mine and Hugo will tell you the differances. Best of luck nothing worse than getting ripped off.
