well today i was drivin along down the main street stopped for the traffic and some stupid **** in a 4wd ute ran up the back of my car. only two little scratches on his bullbar but my cars pretty bad (pics tommorow night). oh and to make it even better this dumb **** dosnt have insurance on his ute, says his gonna pay but yea its abit sus. but ive got all his details, reported it to the coppas and taken plenty of pics hopefully itll all get sorted nice and easily. all this two weeks after i get my car back from getting the cracked head fixed.

Bad luck mate. I gather the head works ok though? Does it go harder? That head's been shaved twice now, so it will have a bit higher compression ratio than normal. Make sure the ******* pays... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

exmotorbo - yea dose go abit harder than it used to, i was ment to be taking it down tommorow to get it all checked out to make sure all the timming and what not is still all good. oh and i just found out my insurance company is going to pay to fix the damage at no cost to me and then chase the fellow up for the money themselves. so hopefully this will all turn out good in the end. by the way ive had the car approx 1 and a half years and so far had a trolley dent my drivers door (payed for by the person who did it) also had the front end crashed into twice at no fault of my own (both times payed for by the responsible persons) just recently the head went on me from corrosion (fixed all up for $600 thanks to exmotorbo for hooking me up with a new head, and the mechanic who gave me a HUGE discount). and now its been ass ended aswell. hopefully by june next year it will be gone and have a vlt in its place Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If you get the insurance to chase it up does that affect ur premium in anyway? If it does u'd be better off chasing it up yourself.

yeh they say its a no fault claim, but it does effect your record, just because you have made a claim... its the old story of insurance companies = ****s. Thats why i chased the guy up myself whos dog i hit... i have allready made a no fault claim and they tried raping my ass for that....

hmmm maybe ill have to try get the cash off the guy myself then. I was thinking it wasn't going to affect my premium. And i cant be getting a bad record when im planning on moving up to a vlt soon.

I got rear-ended in a six car pile up two saturdays ago. I was the car in front of the whole chaos so I'm sweet. Though it did give me the ****s because my car was completely painted in August. I went into a road rage fit and felt like killing the Asian driver that hit me. From all six cars that hit one by one, four we're driven by Asian drivers. That's my little dummy spit for the week. n/a88VLsl, good luck with your repairs. If you got full comprehensive insurance, trust me you don't want the hassle of chasing up the prick that hit ya. Give him a chance, but if nothing happens, go to your insurance and have them deal with him. A few people I know had the unfortunate instance when the drivers that hit them had no insurance. Went to court and they ruled that they pay $5 a week towards your car getting fixed. The bad thing is that they only had third party and so they couldnt have the full benefit of comprehensive cover. Still its a rip off, but sometimes you never know when you'll really need it. That damage that happened to your car and less happened to mine and they quoted me $3600. It is a Calais, but yours is more mangled so who knows.

My mate got a small bump in his rear quarter of his r32, guy said ill pay ya cos i dont have insurance, then he ****ed him over... took it to court and instead of having to pay the 700 repairs, he had to pay my friend 3000 for being a ****... so he tapped the bump out himself and now that guy is basically paying for his sprayjob...lol i had similar situation to you, got hit up the arse, and car was written off, didnt even look no where as bad yours, see how much you'll get for it if they rite it off, if its enough, then buy a vlt, thats what i did. my 2centz

vlt-dreamer - hopefully ill end up doing what u did ie- getting a vlt out of it. as for if its a write off or not who decides that? and how do they decide it? cause ive been to 3 pannel beaters and there all working on quotes for me atm.

tell them you don't want it... lean on the doors a bit so they don't shut properly, ( make it look like the chassis' bent) and they will quote it as a write off.. Then get an assesor (spelling?) in to have a look, and if he see's the doors don't close will probably just peg it to a write off.. and complain about wierd noises from your gearbox/tranny and diff, say after the accident it sounded farked as it was in gear when he hit you... I think insurance companies say if it cost more than 2/3 of the value of the car to fix they just mark it as a write off.. whats the red book value of a n/a vl?.. about 5G's i think.. just a suggestion...

they take red book value and minus everything wrong with the car including mods etc... i was paid out in full for my last hit and that was $3500 when the car is worth 5 + with all the bits i have in there...
