Having trouble keeping intercooler piping together under boost, only using the standard hose clamps you get from Bunnings etc. Have seen lot cars using those fat high pressure hose clamps that do up with a nut etc, think like Danny's PLATUM has it. Anyone know best and cheapest place to get these from, have seen them at ENZED before but they can be expensive.

I see them at all performance places, about $15 each. Good value for money if it stop the cooler piping blowing apart. You should have the ridge pressed around the end of the pipes as well, or no matter what clamps you use they will blow off. If you know what i mean... Mick

Yeah go to Purple Pig in Bayswater, Mountain Hwy. Cheapest place for that sort of stuff IMO. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Also a good idea is to weld a few tacks around the outer edges to stop the clamp slipping past them!!!!

The good bolt clamps are made by Norma and are availble at most spare parts shops. And come in just about any size you want.

T-Bolt hose clamps. I paid $4 56-59mm and $5 80-85mm. Just got some yesterday but I am still short a couple. When I put them on the pipes that kept blowing it peaked at at 18psi but it had only been getting 14psi before Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
