Lol, aside from the turbo hangin off...
But yeah, will be soon looking for a Turbo engine to chuck in the slug. I still cant believe how slow an NA is, I reckon even the capri would whip it.
But yeah, I'm just buying an engine and computer, but I want to make sure it's actually a full motor not just an N/A with a turbo stuck on. Can you tell the difference? Engine numbers, different block/head castings? Anything?
Cheers
Easy dude! Look for the original red rocket cover,Cross over pipe,Look for brown coloured injector's,Have a very good look at the motor you want to buy make sure nothing's been tampered with!Factory turbo motor's are easy to pick!Goodluck ...

Just look at the ID plates, simple.
There should be a tag, which reads.... (example)
"GENERAL MOTORS - HOLDEN LIMITED"
"8L 19 8 H J2 0052 L"
Make sure there is a Number 8 (i've shown in in bold font) as shown above. Number 8 indicates 3.0litre turbo. if that number is a 6, than its a non-turbo.
This tells u weather its a genuine turbo etc... or a non-turbo which has been converted.
urrr... obviously the crossover pipe will have turbo written on it, I'm not an idiot... well, not much of one. A bit.
Re-read my post. I want to know if it's a genuine factory turbo motor not an N/A motor with a turbo whacked onto it.
i.e. a seperate motor, not a complete car.
Dude it's hard to tell if a motor has been out of a VL which you have no idea of been factory or converted to turbo motor! Unless you find a stock VLT motor with what i said in my first reply! If your not sure of the motor get a machanic to look it over for you!...
Oldgold i told you to buy a vl turbo but noooo u had to pay like 9 grand for this slow arse grandpa car and now i bet you have been beaten by a mini or somthing or u want to impress your boyfriend
