today i'm driving along normally, and all of a sudden a sheit load of smoke started coming out my exhaust and my turbo is making a really loud noise..... i knew this day was coming, but still a pain in the ass... question is do i stick with the T3 highflow, or get something better... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Dude! If your serious about HP I would get something better than a hi flow T3 E.g T66... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

How deep is your pocket? You need a decent fuel system to suport a bigger GT series turbo or t04, as well as an external gate, ecu management etc. if you got 6+k it can be done, but if your just running the standard turbo setup, maybe a highflow and an extra injector will get you more power and out of trouble.

what boost were you running? sounds like it spat a seal out and starving the oil to the bearings. Either way you need a new turbo, does JPC highflow their turbos inhouse, or do they contract it out to ATP, ATS etc?

Quote: Please try not to bag workshops id hardly call it 'bagging'.. hes simply stated that the previous owner spent ALOT of money at that workshop, the turbo is probably less than a year old, hasnt been flogged or boosted to its full potential, and its SHAT ITSELF... wat do u expect him to say.. Ohh i got a new turbo, it cost 1400 bucks, and lasted 1 year.. "buisness name" did such a good job, im so glad it lasted 1 year instead of only 6 months.

still, if we still want this site running guys - it would be a good idea to keep it clean as companys have itchy fingers when it comes to sueing ppl that bag them out. - anyways - go to ATP - speak to kyp and get him to do you once of his t04 specials -

You'll be standing outside the workshop and say to a mate, "don't go there", then they pull you up and sue you??? You have to be politically correct - don't say you think they're poo, just say, "i definately would not recommend them". Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have already been threatened with legal action because of what has been posted in the past.

really? man thats harsh for the people running this site because people can say a lot of things when annoyed about big cash going to mechanics.... from what i can see the GOOD performance shops get a fair bit of business through this website.. they should remember the old adage "There is no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary." anyways keep up the good work ozperformance
