Wandering around a local workshop (not Holden specialist) saw a very smick white VL Calais in for some transmission work. But something wasn't quite right...
The interior had some great buckets and looked up-market but somehow didn't look like a Calais, the manual gearshift looked lower than normal and it had a big, wide bonnet scoop that I hadn't seen on a Calais before.
When I asked someone what it was, all was revealed. It was a *Walky* done up to look like a Calais!
Whoever did it did a very professional job. Hope they kept the original body kit for resale.
sleeper witha bonnet scoop
easier ways to get a sleeper in my opinion.. if i owned a walky it would sure as hell look like one..
each to their own
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
In the bak of street commodores (like 3 years ago)they had a walkinshaw that had its body kit stolen. It looked like a normal VL with walkinshaw mags and a small bulge in its bonnet.
Even though it was in very good condition It didn't look to good.
