Hey all there is a commodore cruise happening soon i dont have tha full details as im not organising it But if you want more info just email this guy [email removed] He is organising the cruise just thought i would let you all know.
Just an update about the cruise there is already over fifty cars going and there will be police present to stop and "hoons" if you will. The cruise is also for charity and from what i hav heard will be covered by street Commodores.

thought i may join your little forum and give yas an idea of what we (myself and a few other commy owners) are trying to organise early
next year
THIS IS A COMMODORE ONLY EVENT!
this is allready gathering huge interest allready (70 odd cars)

GOLD COAST / QUEENSLAND COMMODORE CRUISE
$10 donation required per car (for charity)
details so far are as follows:
date : (To be announced as soon as we finalise details with sponsors, charity and other partys involved)
meet behind b.p stayplylton service station(yatala north exit)
departing at 10 am
cruise to designated bbq area (TBA)
after bbq we are cruising to the spit southport
after regrouping at the spit at about 2.00pm we will begin cruising down the esplanade into surfers paradise cutting a lap of the esplanade and meeting back at the indy pitts (macintosh island) where we will be presenting the money we have all donated to the charity
from there you can hang and talk cars and stuff with us there and/or keep cruising surfers.
what to bring: food and drink for the bbq (we may have some food and drinks that you may buy at the bbq site for a small donation to the charity) ,Sunscreen/hats etc, Money for petrol, Cameras (with film) , portable uhf or cb radios ,fold up chairs.<u will not get any other chance to get any of these other then at b.p. starting point or after the cruise ends at the indy pits>
the police will be having public relations officer/s tagging
to keep the peace and they may also give advice on mods and aspects of the "hoon laws" if asked nicely as we are trying to improve commy owner - police relations
your plates will be taken down at the start of the cruise and
any burnouts, doughnuts, drifting or racing will not be tolerated and the police will deal with you decide to play hero.
as well there is a media reporter covering the cruise so we can
show the media that we are not about racing and doing skids etc. we are actually serious about our hobbie and also show them we care about others as well by raising some money for charity
i am not saying not to have fun just we got to keep it legal and safe as this is a serious cruise and if it goes off without any trouble there will be more like it in the year to come.

im pretty keen to come along , sounds like a nice event , especially if we can show the media etc that not all of us disrespect the roads and rules.
