My stereo made 128.6db at Autobarn Slacks Creek. This is with one Pioneer 12" and a Pioneer amp giving it 140RMS. Big upgrade soonish (read: as soon as I can afford it) and I'll post the update.

28-10-03, 05:31 GMT+10#12 WEll i havent set the stereo up in mine yet but it is a transplant out of my old car which was set up as an spl car havent quite worked out how to install it yet but we have come up with a few ideas.
In the old car i ran a 158.6db at a sound off up here in canberra and at a few other soundoffs i havent been able to get a reading because there crappy metres only went to 150db.
This was using 4 Clarion 15" Subs and 4 Clarion 4x1000w rms Amps
Running all off a Clarion head unit which was crap and about $2500 worth of Battery and Phoneix Gold wiring.
So it will be interesting to see if we can get something close out of the VL.

Look at the stereo install here it was a half arse job at that stage it only ran 149.9 but that was off 2 amps and standard battery.

That is not overly impressive. Considering u have
A modified interior including removal of the back seats
4x15" subs, and its a hatchback.
my 8db less was racked up from a single amp, single 12" not 4x15", no interior mods at all, all of the back seats in place etc. AND IT WAS A SEDAN.
