Went along to this on the weekend, there was heaps of people around and sum really nice VL's Yellow BT1 plates XCPTER (think) 169rwkw looked emac and surely would put out more power than it did. Red turbo calais with GTS 19's on it 200rwkw BOOSTR Was heaps other cars, some really tuff V8's etc Anyone got pics post them up, was a really good day and cruise at night was good as well, not much hassle from cops for a change.

Some dude from my work went to the dyno day and said some VLT did'nt know too much but he was amazed it was frying the tyres on the dyno. I have seen it happen before but he over exagerated it a bit to me. He also said some Cortina nearly broke free and moved off the dyno, Again I asked him questions and the dumb ass knew nothing. His never seen anything like this before, as his not into cars and tagged along with a mate

Yeah it was a cortina from Competition Engines, it is a 10 sec car and they couldn't hold it on the dyno. Not sure about the VL didn't hear about thatm think by looking at what was there it would have been BOOSTR which has made 447 rwhp before.

I went for a quick browse. Couldn't believe that XCEPTR only had 160ish rwkws. Very impressed with that blue EF XR, plates "JETXR" had over 300rwkws. I'm not a Ford man, but I loved this car. Very original. Also, was a supercharged VN Group A with 298ish rwkws. Took some pics of BOOSTR and that Red VLT Calais with the VX GTS rims. Only got like six pics cos my stupid camera is screwed. They're on my site on page 2 in the vl section.

Yeah agree couldn't believe myself that the BT1 only had 160rwkw, it had external wastegate setup and all, he ripped a burnout too, think he may just ran it up on low boost.

How much power did the green/silver vl (skidz-4) make and the vl with the cut bar for the cooler [is this the 200rwkw one]?

Yes red one is the 200rwkw one That green one was nothing special, couldn't even see a cooler in it.

XCEPTR is only running 14 psi and it ran a 12.4 at a best of 108mph

Actually it's only running 11psi, met this guy the owner at Calder on Friday night, bit more boost and will be 11's easy

Yeah Fair enough, my mate said he was running 14 but he must've misheard him. We were standing right near where he was parked when not racing because my mates are friends of his.

Saw BOOSTA this morning driveing to work, looks nice but it's only a matter of time before he gets nabbed by the Police and EPA, you really can't drive cars like that on the streets these days. That red calais looks mean with the 19's on, a mate of mine who saw the car rekons one of the 19's is already gutterbashed, The owner would be bleeding over that. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

BOOSTR drives his car everyday and regularly sees canaries. But they are easily removed if you know the right people as he does.

that red calais, is it a manual? I remember it from when I used to live in Mulgrave, used to see it quite a bit but it had White rims on it, I think they were GTS rims painted white.. is this the same one?

Yes, that red VLT Calais is a 5spd. He used to have powder coated VT GTS Rims on it which looked really good with the red/silver paintwork.

And before that it had VX SS rims and a roll cage fitted was at the last years Easternats with the old owner, I remember talking to the old owner, He eventually put it up for sale was sold for the $12,000-$13,000 mark and the new owner has done wonders with it. I have been told the guy that owns the red calais also owns a tough orange RX3 sedan and a Lancer GSR. lucky fella. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The VL that was at MK Automotive was a blue colour Berlina with a Calais front. It's got RB26DETT Head, Autronic, Twin Roller bearings.............. plus I know that this engine has produced 800HP+ on an engine dyno. When sorted this car will be a missile

Never saw that calais but I think I know the owner of that car, is it like a greeny/blue colour. Yeah that red calais is a lot quicker than it use to be couldn't believe it had 200rwkw but obvoiusly had done some mods since last time saw it, the owner does own a orange RX-3 but I wouldn't say it is tough as in performance, think it may be only a bridgeport built by Rank Rotary.

The Berlina with the Calais front rolled up towards the end of the day. The owner reckons he was dropping boost, the figures that he reeled off where on Optimax.
