im not sure if i should put this up just yet but a good mate of us brissy boys "DVS86" , pete , was involved in a nasty acco last night , not too sure on full details , but im led to believe the car hit a light pole , drivers side , he has both legs broken , but is ok thankfully heads up pete , you will be back and healthy soon mate

darkstar - not having a go at you, but i think any speculation as to what did or did not happen should stay away for now. I too wouldnt mind finding out how/why/what went wrong, but for the moment, i think well wishes are whats needed. If anyone *KNOWS* first hand what happened, then please let us know, but please keep speculation and finger pointing away. Pete, once again, Best wishes go out to you in the recovery. update of Pete's condition from a post on Boost Cruising by "BLOME" Quote: To everyone on here who has made comments for a speedy recovery to Pete, I will make sure he gets them. I'm his best mate, I wasnt with him when it happened but another friend of mine was in another car in front of him when it happened & said he wasn't doing anything stupid. So for all you out there saying **** that he probably was, grow up!!!! He is a very sensible driver, has fun like the rest of us but not in conditions like that, he's smarter than that. I heard today from his parents & friend that he had major surgery last night on his legs & hip. He has a pin in his left leg for the rest of his life, a pin in his right leg for at least 12 months & a broken hip & internal injuries. He is lucky to be alive but not in good shape at all. Pete is still in intensive care & heard news just before (11:15 pm fri night) that he has taken a turn for the worse, not sure exactly how bad that is but will update when I know more. His breathing has been very shallow & they have had constant nurse suprvision over him since coming out of his operation this morning. This is a serious situation & I & his family would appreciate a little respect. If you wanna be a ****head & say stupid ****, DONT BOTHER!!!! All Pete needs right now is everyone's support & if you are a praying person, plenty of it. I will post updates as they come through. Thanks again to all the kind words & support from people, means a lot that some people actually care about a persons well being not just give crap about another mis-fortunes. Sorry if this offends some people but it needed to be said & that's the latest for those who are genuinely interested on Pete's recovery.

Sorry to hear about this tragic accident. Pete's a great bloke and my best wishes, thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Get well soon mate. I got a call at about 12pm on Friday night saying it'd happened but i missed that call and got it in the morning.

InsaneVL, i understand where your comming from, but i just wanted to know what happened, to see if anyone else was at fault or if it was a case of wrong place, wrong time. Regardless is a major blow to the community, friends and family. If other parties were involved, i hope they perish. Its an unfortunate and tragic thing to happen, i suppose its the only time we realise that we are not invincible and just mere humans wrapped in a steel cage. Is he concious or in a coma? hopefully he has some level of conciousness which will better impove his chances of survival. Don't know how many of you read Boostcruising as well but i thought i would just quickly mention that there has been no more news on his condition. He is on a breathing machine which is breathing for him but is stable. Stable meaning he hasn't gotten any worse, but hasn't gotten any better either. Just passing on info.
