hi,
i just need to know how the gas strut is mounted in the boot to hold the lid up on walkinshaws.
If someone can post pics up thatd be great
Thanks, all help will be greatly appreciated
Hi there,
Building a replica - does anyone know:
(1) Only one boot strut, or one for each side?
(2) what is the specification for the strut?
(3) Know of any other car the strut can be borrowed from, i.e. same spec?
Cheers - Scott

Hey mate...
Only 1 strut needed in the boot.
Not sure as to the specs on the strut.... Just got to you local auto store and see what they have. Any general strut should do the trick.
Cheers,
Craig

i tryn to find it out myself on the pic it looks like its got two spot welds on it
i might try hdt for the bracket as 4 the strut it may be the same as vp-vs bonnet struts
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
I have one on mine it go's straight down to the floor not the rear beaver panel. i had a groupA wing on it and took it off now the boot flies open when i use the popper.Rob
