B/W detroits are $1450 just for the head. a mate has one, works good and is legal, hard to justify at that price compared with a LSD. no such thing as a "switchable Detroit locker"

Switchable lockers are for 4WD vehicles when they go off road.

got a mate with a detroit locker in his xr8. Locks up instantly when you jump on the gas (spider gears or sumthin like that spread out) If your a sensible driver its great for going around corners as it turns into a rachet like system with the inner wheel being able to spin slower than the outer wheel. And thus you don't chew out tyres. Although as soon as you use your right foot, the locker kicks in and your all over the shop like a mini spool anyway. I looked into getting one, but for the price i would much rather chew out rear tyres with a mini spool and i wouldn't use the detroit locker to its full extent as i love stepping out around corners.
