Hey Guys,
Pay me out all ya like, i'm over it now anyway.
Finally i'm planning on doing a full on stage II of my interior.
Basically all the lower part of the dash will be white, the lower parts of the door cards will be white, and all the winders and what not will remain black.
The back seat cover now gets the name 'MY96VS' embroidered in silver on it, and custom front seat covers will be done soon... when mum gets around to it.
The centre console will be painted and the cover re-trimmed in vinyl.
I'll get pics when its done but i have seen a similar thing done, and it looked bloody good so i'll be expecting the usual comments from you lot.

I bought 2 cans of Vinyl spray today, and a couple of cans of gloss white enamel spray paint, 2 cans of clear, and a can of touch up paint matched to my car.
Lots of painting being done... and MAYBE a new gauge to be installed.

Yeah ok so air fuel would be something that i don't have, i can see more use out of the three that i mentioned given that my water temp gauges is proven to be faulty, i have no ammeter and we all know VS's have alternator issues, and also, there is no fuel pressure gauge.

26-09-03, 23:23 GMT+10#18 Oh man i could crap on for a good 2 pages here listing common problems with the VS... alternator, water temp, water pump, fuel pumps just to name a couple.
How hard was the water temp gauge to install?
And yeah, you are the ducks nuts when it comes to smartass calls round here.

26-09-03, 23:26 GMT+10#19 exchaser is right you know,
There was an article in street commodores about it,
Jason Grays (editor) VN boiled when the guage said it was cool, so he fitted all aftermarket gauges,
Anyway apparently this is common for these cars, the article went on to say.

26-09-03, 23:35 GMT+10#20 hey rob.. the guage took about 20 minutes to install was a lil fiddly.. hardest part was finding a place to put it that wasnt in the way, didnt obstruct vison, and was practical.. ie not illegal lol !
very easy to install.. positive --> power wire of switched headlighs.. (so when he turns his lights on the guage lights up in car same as dash lights do)
ground -->i found a nice lil spot of metal to ground it and ten the sender and wire.
really easy..
i like guages anyway better than the in dash ****
but yeh
