Hey Wots the quickest legitimate street driven VL in QLD?? Can b RB30, Rb25, RB26, Supra motor, nethin but must b street legal n street registered but also must b street driven, no trailer queens, must also run straight PUMP fuel Sounds as tho VLT87 has to b up there as 1 of the quickest if not the quickest but wot times hav people actually pulled?? I know theres a few 11seconds VLs but has ne1 ran a 10 yet?? And wot power r u putting out?/ Cheers Troy

The yellow BT1 from the Gold Coast that sub-zero built I understand is the quickest VL in QLD at like a 10.50 or something, his name is Con and car has been around for ages.

yep.. this yellow bt1 is featured in street commodores a long time ago.. i have the article at home. i think there are alot of quick vlts out there, but alot dont come out much. Ollie

Last time I saw Cons car was a coupla months ago, stopped on the side of Nerang-southport road.I remember those yellow pads on the rollcage.Used to be a regular around the coast.Shame it's not seen much.top car!

Subzero's Black Vl turbo, I heard did an 11.00 @ 125 mph and made 476rwhp. It would have to be up there. Some of you may remember years ago now say 1997 there was a Cairns street car that was once the fastest VL turbo in OZ. It's only run was an 11.22 @ 129.96 mph back then.. I saw the car at Nizpro in January 2003 and Simon told me it made 760hp on the engine dyno. The owner was just deciding what gear box to hook up to it.

i've heard of a white bt1 up here that used to have the plates HIP06 (hypo six) ran 11's this isnt the car ur talkin about is it ?

the quickest vl is the white vl 9.85 i think PVL355 ??????? always at willowbank.

He did state it must be turbo not ugly V8 OVL666. so yes Con's BT1 is the quickest VL Turbo in QLD, second would be BOOSTN, black VL with twin cam head if only you put a twin cam huge single turbo set-up in yours.

Last I checked too, the black Calais BOOSTN that Rigoli built was rego'd in NSW.

Cons car pulled a 10.8 at 127mph... there are others that will come close to that if not axe it within a few months... ie VLT87 and more than likely PSI06.. aswell as that blue MYT16 car that was on display at jamboree packin a RB30/RB26 single turbo setup. im sure there are more.. but there are a few that should get there sooner that i know about !!

there is also a white twin turbo vl comign back out soon which used to get around yrs ago and was doign low 11's back in 1994 he has 305's under the rear and is street driven/regoed/

Yer seems a lot of cars in the build in QLD but no one ever gets to the track and pulls the good times. Anyone can build a nice combo but will it run times, that blue VL from jambo does look nice but doesn't look setup to run numbers. Cons car use to run a T4 with all serrira stuff inside but from memory he runs a T66 now I think, that car CHASME is now being fitted with a bigger turbo and should run low 10's if not a 9.

he did say it had to be run on pump fuel the guys running 10's wouldnt be running on pump fuel

yes it has to b able to run the times on PUMP fuel n shane i did mean turbo, thats y i listed all turbo motors, guess i shouldnt hav wrote "nethin" after it cheers Troy

haha man i doubt any of these cars that have run under a 12.5 were using PUMP fuel.. maybe a little bit of pump fuel in the bottom of the tank after a nice healthy drum of C16 or wateva... most ppl dump exhausts and run race fuel when at the drags.. this isnt street legal..

my mates vlt from rocky ran an 11.1@121 mph at benaraby raceway (near gladstone) a few weeks back. It looks a chunker but goes like all hell. He did it on optimax, i was with him when he fueled up. He also ran full exhaust too cause i was trying to get him to drop it but wouldn't cause he was worried it might lean out and it was a 32 degree day. We've got the runs on video too for any of those doubters out there.
